A great town during listowel race week, buses daily to and from. Atmosphere and craic was amazing. Beautiful beach and walks. A visit to Teach De Broc restaurant is highly recommended, located a short drive outside the village of Ballybunion.

Being right on the ocean is nice.

Being right on the ocean is nice. Town itself is small and was pretty busy and touristy. But it was cute. Just driving through we could see a quite a few different food options. Love the beach area. Cliffs are awesome, ocean views great. Nice little town.

Ballybunion is one of those small traditional Irish holiday towns. It has not changed much over the years. The main attraction is the beach (if you are not a golfer). There are a few beaches in the town, each has their own unique selling points. The Ladies (perfectly frames between two cliffs), Mens (longer walks) and Nun's beach (only accessible by rope). Each are different. There are a few pubs and restaurants and a gaming arcade which is great for kids.

The beach is well-known and popular.

The beach is well-known and popular. It's not the only local beach but it's good and Ballybunion town is good for tourists with kids. Of course golfers come here too. There are places to snack, souvenir shops and supermarket shopping etc. You don't have to stay right in town as there are plenty of good b&b's a couple of minutes drive away.

A stunning seaside experience.

A stunning seaside experience. Two lovely safe beaches, one with a little surf action. The sun sets directly in front of the castle ruin on the promontory. Typical small village with typical pubs and food options. We stayed at the Marine Hotel which was a little pricey but very good - over the road from beach access and green area. The restaurant there has a good menu with much seafood available. We found it very enjoyable.

Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, with sea view and a terrace for two of them The management and personnel were very nice and helpful. The dinner and the breakfast were both excellent. Great atmosphere in the evening with 2 singers playing guitar. We strongly recommend this hotel !

Loved the hotel. Very lush and lovely. Breakfast was absolutely worth the money! My mum had smoked salmon for breakfast and I had a wonderful full breakfast. Red and gold. I found the iron supplied very useful and the rooms were large and spacious.

It was beautiful. But the question about value for money? All hotel accommodation in Ireland is hugely overpriced
