Nice location off the main road in view of the Slieve Bloom mountains near Birr town. Welcomed by Carmel and offered fresh milk for the tea facilities in the room. Medium-sized room but good for the price. Warm and peaceful, very comfortable bed. Delicious healthy breakfast.

We had a little mix up over the night of the booking and the place was full . However I have to say the staff moved mountains and found us a room nearby in Banagher . I was travelling with friends from Italy and this Irish way of sorting out a problem was really impressive . Thank you again to all the staff - hopefully we'll get to stay with you next time !

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless and beautifully set up. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making everything easy from check-in to check-out. Carmel’s hospitality made my work trip feel more like a vacation. The house is spotlessly clean, Carmel and her husband Billy invited me for a nice evening tea and chat, and breakfast was very generous. The house is located at the end of a cul de sac surrounded by farm fields, but in reasonable walking distance from Birr town center (and Carmel offered me a lift if I didn’t want to walk). The local bus also picks up a few minutes’ walk away.
