Everything was perfect. The history & heritage of the Taj Palace makes it a very special place to be. The location is great - very central. The hotel is spotless & the food is divine. I have stayed in other 5 star hotels, but this genuinely was the best. I feel it was the personal touch of the staff that really made a difference. All the staff we spoke to made us feel so welcome & were genuinely very proud to be part of this amazing hotel. They showed interest in us & in making our stay as pleasant as possible. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others. We will be back.

Colaba, which was the part of Mumbai that I saw and lived in, was good. People are nice and simple in a good way. But of course each country has its nature so foreigners should be prepared to experience things that could be considered unpleasant in other countries, such as car drivers using horns all the times, traffic is so congested, cars are so old, crossing streets is dangerous, most people do not speak good international languages, although many can speak Arabic and English. Police are not friendly in general. Rats, cockroaches, and insects are plenty everywhere. As a large country, Mumbai is heavily populated so you cannot walk without seeing huge numbers of people everywhere. even tourist areas are full of local Indians who come from other cities and places to visit Mumbai and its attraction areas, such as Taj Hotel and Gate of India. One ugly thing is the clear division between poor people and rich people...it is very disturbing as you see it being exhibited rudely. One thing that Mumbai shares with many other places in Europe, the Americas, Australia, etc is giving you a tourist price for anything you want to buy, which is always always more than 300% to 400% the actual price that locals pay for the same item! Finally, do not expect clean streets and buildings.

I grew up in Mumbai. Lots of fond memories. Great city with great work culture, nice shopping, restaurants, reasonable weather. Infrastructure is a dampener but the Mumbai spirit is helpful, indomitable and never gives up. My favourite place in Mumbai is Bandra. It has glamour, the sea, lovely quaint Christian bungalows that builders have always been trying to acquire, lovely eating and drinking places, great bookshops, a super cool attitude and a generally friendly and helpful public.

Mumbai is a vibrant and bustling city, at times claustrophobic and not for the faint hearted. However, it is well a worth a visit and a unique experience. Fort in particular is a lovely area. It's easy to get by on the metro, with a new line being added that goes from the airport to the centre. Otherwise, uber is your best bet for an affordable taxi. The city is very loud and busy and there is not really a quieter area. But this is all part of the charm! We liked eating at anna idli and 100% veg thali restaurants. We also went to aram for a vada pav - must try in Mumbai!

It was our second stay in Mumbai first time we stayed in the fort but linkway hotel was cheaper and also room in better condition,even though everything in Mumbai is more expensive than rest of India. Staff was very nice. Room was small but clean and even had day light. Shower worked very well. Location was very good. Very close to great restaurants, bars, shops... All just in front. Also very close to airport and Dharavi slum in case you plan a tour. We would choose again this hotel.

Wonderful stay! The highlight of the hotel was extremely helpful staff whi went above and beyond to assist me with everything. Huge shout out to all! Check in was super fast and easy. Hotel is well located, 5 minutes from the airport (without traffic). Room is super clean and modern. Beds are very comfy. While the hotel is more like 4 stars - it is an excellent value for money for Mumbai. And staff is definitely 5 star service!
