I drove from Ambala to Jaipur with my wife and little daughter who’s 2 & it’s her first time in India and it was very nice staying at this beautiful hotel. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Rooms are very nice&clean and the best we had at this price point so far. Plenty of space available to park the car Staff was kind&helpful. Food was decent too. We were also upgraded to a premium room which was very nice of them. All in all a place which was worth staying at.

By far the best experience we had in north india with regard to quality of service and hospitality. Taj amer is also recently built, kept very clean and quick to respond to any requirement and request. It was such a great experience that we would like to include a few notable employees who were responsible. Our first time in the hotel on May 2023, and this is the second time, we have unique experience, the staff were extremely friendly and host us as a family this is one side only. The other side that I haven’t seen it elsewhere on the world is Kumar Saini Chef De Cuisne, he should be called artist, he surprised us every day with a unique dishes that you will not able to see it anywhere, we enjoy a lot the conversation with his rich personality as a pure Indian culture demonstrates, he acts as an angel to ensure our maximum satisfaction and comfort. Villa 243 is a wonderful boutique hotel and a lovely place for our short stay in Jaipur! The rooms are comfortably furnished and softly lit, and the bathroom is a good size with decent water pressure. My friend and I had an excellent two nights sleep in the soft cotton sheets and block-printed coverlet. The rooftop lounge/ restaurant and plunge pool is such a nice touch, and a perfect way to spend an evening unwinding after the hustle and bustle of Jaipur traffic (just remember to load on that mosquito spray). Breakfast was simple but delicious, as was the dinner we had there both nights (I recommend the Indian Thali!) Overall, Villa 243 is a wonderful stay not too far away from the sights of Jaipur, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something different from the usual cookie cutter hotel experience.

Fav spots - Gulaab ji chai wale Amer Fort + Light and Sound show at night Galta ji temple, although many people would not prefer to go Govinddev ji temple and Govindam retreat restaurant near it - great food! Lassi from Lassiwale. Sunset from Padao cafe, Nahargarh fort — although service is a little slow, the view is beautiful. Do not miss out on Jantar Mantar. If using local transport, be prepared for exorbitant prices from auto/cab drivers. They use Uber to connect to you, then ask ridiculous prices to drop anywhere because "they will have to come back without a sawari." Haggle as much as you can. I found locals to be very rude here.

Jaipur has a lot of beautiful and interesting places, squares, and buildings to offer. The flower and vegetable market is absolutely worth seeing. The market streets in the city center, located in the pink quarter, offer a huge variety of goods. The city has an enormous amount to offer in terms of art, handicrafts, and architecture due to its rich history. It also boasts a wide range of culinary delights. A tip: make a list of places in Jaipur that you want to visit, find a local tuk-tuk driver, and book him for the whole day. It will be worth it!

Three nights in Jaipur was perfect to do sightseeing and shopping. The city is really vibrant with loads to see and do, and all fairly accessible either on foot or by tuk-tuk. There are loads of hotel rooftop bars which offer good food and views.

We went for a textile block printing workshop at Bagru and devoted a day for the fort circuit. To avoid the tourist trap, went first to Jaigarh ( offers a fantastic bird's eye view of the surroundings)and then walked down to Amer fort through the secret tunnel. Skipped Nahargarh. Old city is a bustling shopping paradise with lots of street food options. Morning runs at central park/walled city is really enjoyable. Goivndam retreat and Tan sukh are great veg restaurants. Chokhi dhani has authentic rajasthani food and offers a great ambience.

The hotel itself is nice and comfortable, and the restaurant is definitely a highlight. The breakfast is excellent and very reasonably priced, and we also enjoyed dinner there, which was equally delicious. The restaurant staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The location, while a bit far from the city center, is in an area with other hotels and restaurants. Jaipur is a large city, so getting around by tuk-tuk is usually necessary anyway.

Hotel is centrally located, we walked from the hotel and did the Jaipur city walk from the best of India lonely planet book, which ticked most of the city sights. We used the hotel services to book our onward train ticket and a driver for 5 hours to take us to the amber fort & water palace, which was very reasonable priced. We even had a massage on sight, which was fantastic.
