The remoteness means little amenities like restaurants and shops. Come prepared with some snacks and supplies. Great area - a little away from the hustle & bustle of other areas so it is quieter. The beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the beach had no chairs, shade or umbrellas making it very difficult to stay very long. The surrounding area was not good to stroll around. I like very much all areas of Mararikulam, I think it is cleaner than other places. The beach is amazing and magical, people are very kind. it is a paradise on earth, unfortunately, my resort needs some restoration, especially rooms, and the swimming pool. Nature is really enchanting I was in Seclude Marari sand resort, potentially the best part of the beach but the resort needs some work. Martin and the whole familiy were very friendly and helped us a lot during our stay. As there were no cooking lessons nearby Martin and his wife showed us how to cook the traditional breakfast. You can reach the beach in one minute and Marari Beach is also only a 15 minutes walk away. We got filtered water (also water bottles availabe) and the wlan worked great. Rina, the host, was exceptional and took very good care of us. The place was stylish, sparkling clean, and had every comfort. Rina is also a great cook, and she cooked amazing Keralan breakfast and dinner for us. She also arranged a boat trip and rickshaw to get there and back. We felt like at home. I particularly liked the attention for detail. The place is a 2 min walk from Marari beach, the best beach in the area with restaurants and cafes.
