Aside from the historical site, there's nothing of interest.

Aside from the historical site, there's nothing of interest. Sanchi is a traditional Indian town with limited affordable transportation, especially for foreigners. For comparison: Taxi Bhopal > Sanchi (60km) 2500 rupees; Taxi hotel > Sanchi (3km) between 500 and 1000 rupees. There are no restaurants serving continental cuisine, which is a problem if you can't tolerate strong spices.
