The house is super lovely and comfortable, spacious rooms, well equipped, and the owners are so nice. The hot tub outdoor with nice view is really enjoyable. Our kids also had lots of fun in the field with the owner's cute dogs and beautiful horses. Good price is another plus, highly recommended!

Property was easily located. Once inside very clean and comfortable. Many “extra” details noted including charging area, some toiletries. Soft towels. The sofa bed converted easily and was large and comfortable. Would be great as a low key getaway but also a nice home base for a small family. Games, maps and information on area attractions all available. We easily could have done much of our touring from there.

Borgarnes is a small town, very easy to walk around, but enough facilities for a short stay. There is a choice of cafes and restaurants. There is a swimming pool, but we didn't use it. It was a good location for us to hunt the Northern Lights. Only a short journey was needed to reach areas with dark skies. We were not disappointed.

We only spent 1 night and 1 lunchtime in Borgarnes, so my experience was limited. We would have loved to stay longer and explore more! The walk along the seaside is beautiful and a great way to get around. The pool with its hot tubs is excellent - just go here and skip the pricey spas! The town feels so safe and there are some lovely bakeries and cafes. The Settlement Museum is well worth a visit!

Small uninteresting town.

Small uninteresting town. Better to continue on to Reykjavik or stay somewheres before like Bifrost. We ate at Baza Bistro just down from Hotel Borgarnes. It was great. Food good, very generous serves and friendly staff.

This place was a gem of a find, fantastic scenery, and peaceful. The host was great and the cabin had everything we needed. The town is just fifteen minutes away for groceries etc. A bonus are the farmers dogs who come into the cabin deck and want to play or just have their tummy tickled. There is no tv, in such a wonderful location why would you need one. 100 percent recorded!

all the basic facilities, grocery store, nice french fusion restaurant in one of the hotels in town. starting point to major outdoor points (e.g. Snaefellsness national park, points north and inland). A good base for multiple day trips north and inland. Close to Glymur , highest waterfall in iceland (summer only, no river crossing in winter!)

The city is the historical center of some of the early...

The city is the historical center of some of the early settlers so it was interesting to explore. It has a number of good restaurants and plenty of other amenities like gas stations. It's a beautiful setting just across the fiord from the southern part of Iceland.

Very good value - we had a 22h layover in Iceland, and we were able to rent a car and whole trailer cottage for cheaper than staying at a hotel closer to airport. It was an easy drive with nice views. Great place to sleep before next days flight - we also drove a little more to look at views in the evening. Cozy and functional, with a view to mountain tops.

This was the best hotel I stayed at in Iceland! The staff were very friendly during check-in. The room was great, and the location was excellent — there’s a gas station and a supermarket right across the street. We were very satisfied!

Wonderful place to explore Western Iceland. Very close to Borgarnes, easy to do Snaefellsnes in one day and Northern lights at night. We got upgraded to a cabin, absolutely loved it. Friendly staff and comfortable stay. Thank you!
