We got a very warm welcome from the hosts. The guesthouse is very special and homey - like a Swiss chalet. Our room was lovely and breakfast was amazing. I love this fjord and the guesthouse was at the top of a hill and we had a great view from our balcony. Thank you very much Elínar Helgu!

As guests we felt very much taken care of. I want to specifically acknowledge the wonderful staff, in particular Hogenes (?, sorry if i completely misspelled your name). Thanks for helping us out with a booking that I completely messed up. We stayed on the campground in one of the barrels. Lovely, comfy and the campground is well equipped (clean facilities, nice kitchen, excellent WiFi). Will come back with better booking skills.

    Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm. The hotel handled the situation very amenably. Good food in the hotel and also at the café and village shop in Breiddalsvik itself, which is about 5 km away. Fantastic scenery all round. Motor museum and brewery in the village with the opportunity to go for horse rides directly from the hotel.

    This is yet another former school, remodelled into a hotel. We arrived towards the end of dinner service, however, we still managed to get hot dinner at this hotel, which we consider luck. Very friendly and polite staff. The room was fine, we've got the one towards the rear end of the hotel, thus super calm (we were able to sleep with open windows without any noise from the outside). Breakfast was rather standard, but sufficient to set one up for a day.
