We loved our stay in Seljaland! The guesthouses are located in a stunning serene area among beautiful mountains. We stayed in a 9m² house that has two comfy beds with warm blankets, a microwave and some storage. The bathroom, wc and kitchen are in another building. The hosts sent us detailed information about the property so we knew exactly what we were getting. They also sent us a detailed route description, which was very helpful. There are no grocery stores in close proximity, but there is a small restaurant in Seljaland, and the food is super nice! Both the dinner and the breakfast were delightful. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the baked cod for dinner, and Níels was also kind enough to cook a delicious vegetarian meal for me. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and would love to come back again! Thank you Níels and Ragnheiður!

Awesome place, Stunning view outside Comfortable, cozy, clean and quiet. Cottage fully furnished, from kitchen to WC with laundry. self check in is convenient.

A good location for a relaxing stay in Hjarðarholt, Mirror Suite is a holiday home surrounded by views of the mountain.

Isabelle and Marat are exemplary hosts and couldn’t have been more charming. The suite itself was exceptional in design and comfort and a great deal of thought had gone into the detail - beautiful linens and robes, well equipped kitchen and my favourite Skandinavisk toiletries. After some quite energetic salmon fishing it was wonderful to wind down at this wonderful suite, easing tired limbs in the sauna (with exceptional views) and falling into the most comfortable bed to dream about the lax! Breakfast was grate, the service at dinner was poor from the non local staff. They were on the phone during service and while between taking orders, no knife or fork at the table, had to ask for water and were not offered any drinks while reading the menu. Local staff where wonderful and everyone was very polite, also the non local staff.

Found along Route 1, this modern property is 30 minutes’ drive from Borgarnes. Facilities include the 9-hole Gianni Golf Course. All rooms have a satellite TV and free WiFi.
