It was an absolute gorgeous hotel and property. The service staff were incredible, the food was amazing. I highly recommend it! We went to the local Lava Cave for a tour, and it was great.

Sæmundur is the best host ever! Very interesting conversations surrounded by historical atmosohere and smell of Sæmundur's waffers. His grand daughter Emilie was very helpfull and serviceminded too. Location is perfect to visit nearby Hraunfoss and Barnafoss as well for hiking trips. We will definetily stay again in this old farmhouse.

Amazing place to stay. We weren´t sure about accomodation with shared bathroom but finally it was completetly OK. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 showers for 5 rooms I guess, so you do not have to be afraid that you will wait a long time for using bathroom. Owner was super helpful, nice and keys were prepared behind the door once we arrived with number of our room and our name on it. Breakfast was in home style well-prepared with everything you need for the morning. On each table was a coffe, you could prepare tea. Outside is amazing view to the valley and due to kind of loneliness this farm, this is one of the best place in Iceland, to be and see the Northern Lights. Hot tub is ready for use all day and night (no added expenses). Kitchen is very well equiped. We didn´t need that but there is also washing machine. Location is very strategic for the Silver Circle and Húsafell hikes. Definitely when we will come back to Iceland we will come back to here. Thanks!

Great cottage! It had everything needed, we made use of the super hot tub and gas barbecue! The bed was comfortable and the place looked modern. It was located in a remote place, which is good if you value privacy. You have some attractions nearby, including the glacier and lava caves.

Cosy family farmhouse provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 36 km of Bjarnafoss. This villa features a garden as well as a terrace.

Fosshotel Reykholt is only a few minutes’ drive from the hot springs of Deildartunguhver and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. It offers free parking and WiFi.

Beautiful location in the countryside, near termal baths. The beds were fantastic (after a long day od hiking they werejust what we needed).
