Fantastic hotel in an exceptional location. The room had the most beautiful views over the mountains. It is modern and minimalistic but with a cozy feel. The outdoor relaxation pool is lovely. The bed was the best I have had in any hotel! Breakfast is good with just the right amount of different choices.

Our stay was a pleasant surprise! The location is perfect and I would highly recommend to have dinner at Bru Country Estate as everything was delicious and homemade (even the bread).

Booked very last minute and there was still plenty of choice. We got switched to different rooms without asking, because the rooms automatically assigned were above the bar. People working there were super nice!

We loved everything about this place. The room was huge, clean, quite, warm and comfortable, with a view on a field with mountains. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was exceptional, During northern light they switched off the lights, so there was no light polution, Additional bonus from the hotel was that they had a horse stables and the one was able to go there, pet them take a photos, and it was absolutely relaxing, Loved it

The room is not overdecorated, just the way we like it, nordic. The breakfast is top quality and the dinner was the best we had in our travels around Iceland. The menu was rather short, but the food was absolutely amazing. We heard that they have a celebrity chef in the kitchen.

We can see that there is now a new glass restaurant which should have good views towards the far lake. Not yet open when we stayed. The food in the current restaurant was excellent, inspiring menu, could have more choices but talented chef is preparing the food.

The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The restaurant looked basic at first sight, but the food was delicious and the service top notch. I loved the bar too.
