We stayed at Vonarland for three nights, and everything was absolutely fantastic! The place was cosy, well-equipped, and the surroundings were breathtaking. The hosts were welcoming, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!

The location by the sea is very nice! Our family tent was as nice as on the pictures, and both warm, airy and comfortable. The shared relax area at the 'barn' is very cosy, and the host is really nice and friendly! All is also perfectly clean and delicate.

We had a wonderful stay at Gaulverjaskoli. Magnea and Greg are very warm hosts and have created a charming place to stay. The rooms are very cozy and clean and have everything you need. The shared kitchen and the charming winter garden were also great. It was a wonderful place to linger and chat with the other guests. The kitchen itself is well equipped for cooking. Magnea and Greg had very good recommendations for activities in the area and selfoss was a great base for horse riding, driving to the golden circle and hiking to hot springs. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

A small but cozy room with a private bathroom. A very good location, especially for watching the Northern Lights. It's about an hour of drive to Reykjavik and less than 20 to Selfoss. Eva, the host is a very friendly and open person; whenever I needed anything, I could always count on her, she also gives us a good advices about places to visit.

The location is great, near an area where the lava flow met the sea. The property looks a bit discouraging from the outside, considering surroundings as well. Inside it is refurbished, all good. The room was very clean, nice, with good amenities. The commmunication with hosts was only via messages, one message received with a code and room number. Good that we did not require anything ! The price was very good, so some issues are acceptable.

Amazing design hotel near Reykjavik. The hotel has few bistro type restaurants with shared dining so you can try everything you want. Room was clean and surprisingly equipped, food was great, so I fully recommend it!

It's a small town and is beautiful to just walk around here...

It's a small town and is beautiful to just walk around here for 15-30mins. Had a nice oceanside walk/trail. This town is pretty close to Selfoss so you can stay here if you prefer the silence and no disturbance. If you want something bustling and active this isn't the place to be though.

Stokkseyri is a small coastal village with good facilities.

Stokkseyri is a small coastal village with good facilities. The property would be suitable all year round for families. Obviously not many roads in Iceland but a good central location for the south coast and plenty of amazing places to visit.

Stokkseyri is a quiet seaside community well situated for...

Stokkseyri is a quiet seaside community well situated for doing day trips along the coast. There is a gas station/fast food restaurant/ convenience store, a wonderful crafts shop with beautiful hand knit sweaters, a museum ( wasn’t open when we were there), a kayak tours group and 1 restaurant that serves an amazing bisque. Overall- a nice little town that we would go back to.
