I would definitely move in here. I don't know how many hotel rooms I've stayed in around the world, but this is one of the most beautiful. Wonderfully airy and elegantly furnished. Absolutely ideal, perfect location with a view of the dome and the cathedral. Miraculously, I was here at the time of the Jazz Festival, so the great music was still included. On Saturday evenings, the square is filled with people until late at night, a very nice lively atmosphere. The interaction with the Bar al Duomo is excellent. 👌If you have a passion for really good food and don't consider home cooking style or pizza to be the culinary navel of the world: ALLORO is highly recommended. I had an excellent dinner there and returned to BAROQUE very full and very happy. (And was only hungry again 24 hours later!). Acireale is wonderfully relaxed and has also retained its Sicilian dignity (unlike Palermo, which has mutated into a fast food and party town due to its 6 million tourists every year, who mainly drink and party there). Loved this location and the view from the balcony/window at the grotesques was incredible. Really big room, plenty of space for the 3 of us. Included breakfast at cafe Cipriani each morning was a highlight of my trip! The owner was very helpful, very kind and generous, language barrier no problem.

Perfect spot to stay in Acireale and visit east Sicily. Very close to free parking, just in the centre of the old town of Acireale, super-friendly host and unexpected cute breakfasts (best regards to Elena). The host,Marco, was great. He made great suggestions for dining.The apartment was very nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The view of Mount Etna and the ocean was a real plus. We didn’t see too much of Acireale because we did day trips to Etna and Taormina. Travel was difficult,but worthwhile when we got to our destinations. Due to some guests physical limitations,we didn’t walk around the city too much. Would recommend this Apartment.

The town is wonderful and filled with history. we where lucky enough to visit during their carnival, which is something special especially with children. Even the locals are wonderful, mornings in the piazza's are like from a movie, time moving slowly and everyone talking to each other over a coffee. I loved it and looking forward to visit again.

Acireale is a peaceful small city.

Acireale is a peaceful small city. Although not so big but has a lot to offer. The carnival is the main highlight of the city. Piazza Duomo is a lovely square in which there are various churches, restaurants, cafeterias, and outlets within a small walking distance. There are a couple of interesting sites to visit such as the Duomo of Saint Sebastian, the Acireale Cathedral dedicated to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary where you can go up to the bell tower, and various other adjacent churches. The Museo dei Pupi is also another must-visit site. The museum is about the art of puppetry, an art dating back centuries ago and which still was in place until the 70s. The Biblioteca Zelantea is another site that retraces the history of the city with a library containing historical books and documentation, paintings, statues, and other historical artifacts. The negative aspects of the city circle around the rubbish on the streets and various buildings requiring extensive restoration because they are old and shabby.

We stayed in Acireale so that we were fairly central without...

We stayed in Acireale so that we were fairly central without being in the middle of busy Catania. It was exactly what we had hoped for. A quiet, peaceful traditional sicilian town without the hustle and bustle. It is easy to get to and from the centre and the train station using a shuttle bus and there are regular trains to Catania, Taormina and further afield each day. Despite being a small town there were plenty of places to eat and drink, including some restaurants which could provide gluten free food for coeliacs and a dedicated gluten free bakery which was absolutely divine! We went in August which was also carnival time which was wonderful to watch.

There are much better place to stay in Sicily.

There are much better place to stay in Sicily. Acireale has very limited restaurants.. good for sea food lovers. Food was expensive! but not much varieties of Italian pizza and pasta! Views were good but Acireale is very quite and 25 minutes walk to the near place! No trains, trams and bus service! You have only two options to travel… walk or taxi. Sea looked beautiful but it was Rocky so I wasn’t comfortable to swim. Toarmina was good great. Avoid sea in Acireale. Go to south where you can find sandy beaches

Literally everything! It’s a beautiful place, very well organised with everything you need. The view is just stunning and being able to have your meals with that view is just perfection. The host is so lovely and was very flexible to some last minute changes on schedule we had to make. It’s a very quiet place which is lovely to rest. We came for the Carnival in Acireale and its the perfect distance by car. Really recommend it.

Original room was fine but we had a small issue with hot water in the room. Management promptly acted with many apologies and they took to transfer our things and upgraded us to a superior room that was simply brilliant! Parking facility for free in Sicily (as it should be!) is an added bonus!! Highly recommended!

Bright, sunny apartment, ideal for 2 people. It is in the center, in a quiet street, close to the sea. We walked to Santa Maria la Scala, on a cozy street. Marco is a very nice person, he helped us with everything. If we come to Acireale, we will stay here again.
