everything !! the location ( 2 mins walk from the lake where there is a tiny beach with clean water it was so lovely ! ) , the apartment was very big, cute little coffee set prepared for our arrival, no problem with the parking, it was great ! also nice view from the balcony

This was our third stay at Casa Olea Hotel — and once again, it was pure bliss. The hotel is a little oasis right by the lake, thoughtfully designed with a calm, minimalist aesthetic. Natural materials and clean lines make it the perfect place to unwind. This time, we stayed in a room with lake view, and waking up to that scenery from bed was simply amazing. We also love that the hotel is located away from the overly touristy parts of Lake Como. The atmosphere feels more relaxed, with great options for running, cycling, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and some fantastic restaurants nearby.

Amazing hotel. Clearly renovated with huge room, lovely window, excellent AC and huge bathroom with amazing shower pressure. There's also an elevator. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is quiet. Note that there's also a Michelin star restaurant on the ground floor. This was one of the best hotels of my entire trip. Staff were professional and available. I highly recommend.

Acquaseria is a quiet village about 10 minutes north of...

Acquaseria is a quiet village about 10 minutes north of Menaggio. It has only a few bars, restaurants, butchers/bakers, a post office, and a small shop. If you expect a bustling cafe or nightlife, you won't find it here. However, the local bar and restaurant offer good food and drink. For more bustle, I suggest Menaggio to the south or Cremia or Dongo to the north (all about a 10-15 min drive away). San Siro is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Lario view and the beach, for swimming and sunbathing, or if you want to hire a boat to view the lake from the water, I recommend getting in touch with Mattia from Nautica Starline, who offer the best service and prices. I hope you enjoy Acquaseria as much as we did.

Acquaseria is a convenient and quiet area and it is a 10-minute drive from Menaggio which is a cute little town with restaurants and a plaza to relax. In Menaggio, you can find a ferry to go to Bellagio and Varenna. Bellagio and Varenna are bigger towns with way more tourists. Around Acquaseria you will find many places to rent a boat to be right on the lake. Nice restaurants all around the area.. I believe renting a small car is a must. We visited the nice luxurious hotels and villas and relaxed having drinks in different ones... the whole area is just beautiful. The area has some historic sites.

The village Acquaseria is situated just above Menaggio which...

The village Acquaseria is situated just above Menaggio which is great to visit. It has a few restaurants (one on the like side), bars and small shops like small grocery shop, butcher, greengrocer, wine shop and more. From here you can pay a visit to Como down south but also to discover the north side of the lake or visit (by car) Varenna, Porlezza or even a visit to Lugano and Milan.

The hosts were very helpful and very pleasant.

The hosts were very helpful and very pleasant. The accommodation is right on the lake shore, with a garden overlooking the lake. Everything was great, the kitchen equipment, both the bedrooms, the cozy living room, both bathrooms (bath and shower). Nice location. Parking in front. Strongly recommend this accommodation.

It's worth having a car – hiking is out of the question due...

It's worth having a car – hiking is out of the question due to the lack of infrastructure (most roads lack sidewalks!). There's a lovely lady at the local wine shop. Two tried-and-true restaurants (Da Luigi and Creme Caramel) didn't disappoint.

A lovely little town with a wine shop, ice cream parlor, grocery store, butcher, greengrocer, two bars, two restaurants, and a north and a south beach. The nearest town is Menaggio, from where you can take a boat trip. Otherwise, everything is best reached by car; Milan and Como, for example, are rather difficult to get around without one.
