It’s a lovely medieval town close to a large lake that has other equally pretty towns worth a visit. The lake is very quiet out of season and in the summer is probably busy with boats and other traffic. Restaurants in Bracciano are reasonable and served good food for a variety of tastes. Bracciano is vey good for a day trip from Rome, to visit the Orsini-Odescalchi Castle inside: furniture (I love the ‘baldachino’ beds), guns and armors, and for photos of the lake and medieval town from the terraces. In the evening there’s a special lighting for a picture of the Castle. A beautiful romantic place near Rome.
A beautiful romantic place near Rome. The accessibility to Rome by train or car is perfect. The train goes to Rome after 30 minutes. By car you can reach the city using the motorway in 40 min. If you park your car in the parking house at the Jonio or Laurentina metro terminus, you have the opportunity to explore Rome in the evening until 0:15, when the garages close. Parking costs just 1.5 EUR. However, the town of Bracciano itself is worth the tour, including the castle and the shores of the volcanic lake.Guest review byViktorCzech Republic

It was easy taking the train from Rome. We sent a message on the way and the host met us and left keys and show us the beautiful apartment. Good equipment in the kitchen. Quiet location in the old town. A lot of restaurants nearby. The bed were comfortable but sloped a little towards the middle.
