For the first time in my life, I stayed in such an ancient house that had been fully renovated, yet you could still feel the old spirit in it, and it was fascinating. We had everything we needed to sleep one night, a fully arranged kitchen, all the vessels and pots. The bathroom, although small, had soap and shower gel in it. Everything looked very neat. The entrance to the house and all surroundings are splendid. If you come with a car, it's better to park it at the entrance to the town, because only very small cars can park close to the apartment (still, it's possible). Asia, a very friendly host, brought us additional pellets for a heating stove, if we needed to heat during the night.

The hotel was quite nice. It's away from the nite noise of the main part of town but just a short walk. The restaurant was great, though we only got pizza and calzone but every table had something I wanted. That said, the pizza was amazing. You asked about the bed above. I have a bad back so it's hard to tell, but it didn't hurt so that is a plus. I liked the height, seemed a bit lower than average and I kinda liked that.

Perfect position on the edge of the village, so a nice walk in. Room was suitable and warm. Didn't get to eat in restaurant as we were booked in another restaurant and then they did not open on Wednesday, our free night, which was a pity. Lovely couple running the b&b. Would stay again

A place to experience intensely, it transmits a charm that if you don't experience it you can't understand. I personally experienced the various colors of the place from dawn to dusk to night, especially the Castle which is unparalleled in everything.

The village is very beautiful and fairly well-maintained, offering a truly peaceful setting. It's not recommended for those with mobility issues, as cars generally have to be parked quite far from the accommodation and there are many ups and downs.

Besides the stunning views, people come here because it was one of the filming locations for "Ladyhawke." Michelle Pfeiffer was here in 1983 during filming and ate ravioli at "Da Maria." George Clooney was also here during the filming of "The American."

Calascio is a very pretty little village.

Calascio is a very pretty little village. The houses are all made of stone, presumably renovated after the 2009 earthquake. The owner recommended Clara's restaurant, where we ate traditional Abruzzese dishes, well-prepared and reasonably priced. The shuttle service to the Rocca di Calascio is well-organized.

Unique landscape - especially friendly, helpful, and nice people, particularly in the bar on the main street and the owners of the cozy "Casa Manetta" Asja/Manfredo and the "Mamma". Picturesque village. DON'T MISS: the old "Borgo" - the castle ruins - the church - "Rifugio de la Rocca".

A charming spot in a spectacular location-- the room was exactly what you hope to find in a spot like Rocca Calascio. It was built into the rocks of the mountain almost like a cave, and captured all of the rustic magic of this mountain village. While it was not fancy, it had everything we needed-- it was clean, cool, and comfortable. The linens were lovely, and the breakfast was wonderful, with homemade breads.

The bnb is perfectly located in the heart of the little village of Rocca Calascio. Breakfast is rich and filled with local products. The host is very welcoming and kind. Being a local guide, he can recommend the best routes for hiking but also for day trips around the area. Highly recommend it ;)

Excellent view, beautiful old style apartment, location was great for seeing the fortress. 2 restaurants just a few steps away. Locals were very kind and welcoming. Breakfast at the hotel was good.

Amazing accomodation in the middle of the medieval borgo di rocca calascio. The accomodation is also very close to the castle so very convenient to avoid long walks. Totally recommended.
