I didn’t have many expectations at the beginning, because usually in that area for this kind of prices you don’t find anything special. But here, everything surprised me in a good way! First of all Mrs.Vanna which is who takes care of this place, was every time available to reach and very kind, she really takes care of the customers. The room, with new furnitures and clean in every corner, was really comfortable. WiFi was also pretty good and the location was perfect.

We used Empoli as a base as the train station offered many possibilities as a central hub. We did however really enjoy a lovely walk in the scenic hills. The center was clean and had a really nice vibe to it and the locals were very friendly. We were also told by a historian that the city had a good museum of art although we didn't have time to investigate further unfortunately due to time.

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable.

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable. The surroundings had lovely scenery and the nearby town was vibrant. Public transportation was quite a challenge and getting a taxi was not much easier. You can get most places by walking but if you have mobility issues you will struggle. I would definitely stay again though, very nice place! 😁

A gorgeous authentic Italian town just outside Florence with great train routes to Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre. It's the perfect location if you're planning to have a Tuscan base to explore the area but don't want to pay Florence prices. The locals are all friendly and look out for everyone.

Empoli is very quiet.

Empoli is very quiet. My advice is to stay near the station to make the most of public transportation and visit nearby cities like Florence, Pisa, Prato, etc.

Empoli has only one noteworthy square worth visiting, and a small but well-kept park where you can relax. Above all, it's a strategically located town, making it a great base for visiting multiple cities (Florence, Pisa, Livorno, San Gimignano, etc.) on the same vacation.

Having gone to Empoli for the exhibition on Masolino da Panicale, we realised that we had ended up in a place not only close to Florence but in a town where culture is at home, therefore with its own peculiarity and autonomy compared to its "big brother" Florence, reachable in half an hour by train.

the accommodation is a minute walk from Empoli station, a good base for us to travel to Florence for 2 days. The room is of a good size, clean and equipped with modern facilities (air conditioning, small kitchenette with all necessary equipment, fridge etc). The host is also very responsive, we requested for an earlier check in as we were due to arrive in Empoli earlier than expected and this was easily accommodated. A small town to explore, but there is a good selection of shops and restaurants to choose from.

Leonardo was an exceptional host! He met us at the door and gave us a through gracious tour of the apartment. During the tour, he realized that the cupboard didn’t have coffee. He left after the tour was over and we heard the doorbell a few moments later. He brought us a bag of coffee from his own house! We didn’t even ask! The stay was also extremely comfortable, quiet, and excellent value for money. No complaints whatsoever. What a fantastic experience in Empoli. 10/10 would recommend!

Great location, in the centre. Empoli is a livable, nice place, about half an hour by train from Florence (the train station is max 10 minutes from the accommodation). Very nice host, who keeps the apartment clean and well equipped (we also got a free parking pass, valid for blue zone parking near the accommodation). We had a very pleasant stay.
