Very nice hotel with big rooms, balcony and own parking. The view from the balcony is superb and so was the breakfast, actually one of the best I’ve ever had. Very nice, friendly and hard working host, gave us every indication we needed. Also, cleaning service was very good.

Lovely friendly owner. Offered excellent dinner meals as well, which was really nice after a hard day exploring the valley and Dolomites. The accommodation is just outside St David, about a 10 minute walk. The famous sunset walk and viewpoint are just along the road and about 30 minutes walk away. Awesome!

We had a wonderful stay at Planerhof. As a family with a 2-year-old, we felt immediately at home. Waltraud gave us a very warm welcome, providing helpful suggestions for nearby hikes, and even surprised us with a lovely gift on arrival, which we really appreciated. The apartment was spotless, cozy, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Additionally the view from up there was amazing. Our little one especially enjoyed visiting the farm and watching the cows. Waltraud's hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway!

Easy to go near to the Dolomites by car or bus.

Easy to go near to the Dolomites by car or bus. The public bus is free and brings you to the area from where you can hike on several trails. The last bus leaves at 5 PM and brings you back to Funes and then a short walk back to the Hotel. Ask for the free ticket at the hotel to be able to use the bus. If you drive by car, it is a narrow road, and the parking fee is EUR 10.-

Funes is a good central point to stay where local transport is free to guests throughout the area,,bus stop very near hotel.All grades of walking routes available for all,but be aware some routes are much steeper and require care,energy and WATER.

Funes is a lovely spot surrounded by hills.

Funes is a lovely spot surrounded by hills. Seems like a bit aside from the "civilization" but just out of the crowded cities. Nice if you are looking for a base camp for hiking and exploring Dolomiti.

this is a gem within the gems that the Dolomites are.

this is a gem within the gems that the Dolomites are. this is the place to be if one wishes to have a very relaxing stay, enjoy the views, walking/hiking in the forest and along paths. The Val di Funes has a few restaurants but it has retained the charm of an alpine village. It is convenient and lovely. We visited 4 other valleys in the Dolomites and we definitely prefer this, especially during the gorgeous "indian summer" weather we experienced in late October 2021.

This is an amazingly beautiful valley in the Dolomites. The people are so friendly courteous and helpful. The location we stayed at was close to all the local hiking trails and an easy drive to explore other valleys

Great staff from reception to restaurant. Their approach and attitude deserves special mention. We had a spacious room with a great view. Very clean and very comfortable beds and pillows. The room has plenty of space for clothes and luggage. The decor of the room, its comfort, left a very pleasant impression. Dinner and breakfast were great. Excellent location of the hotel, you can visit many beautiful places around. Nearby there is a museum and a grocery store (very nice store).

The reviews are real, everything about this place was so wonderful we did not want to leave! We had the apartment suite (family of 3) and it was absolutely stunning! Spotless room, wonderful views, new and quality furnishing, parking right in front of the hotel, great breakfast, and above all we really appreciated the friendly and understanding owners who accommodated our last minute change due to train disruption. We will definitely come here again!

Beautiful view. Good service and communication. Easy parking and close to grocery store. Tucked away it was a quiet stay away from crowds. Slightly windy road to get to Val Di funes but worth it.
