Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds and excellent soundproofing, which made for a peaceful night's sleep. The location is great—quiet and scenic—but having a car is definitely a plus for getting around. The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. A special thanks to the incredibly kind and helpful owner, who went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We also loved the delicious breakfasts and the beautifully arranged relaxation area by the pool. Everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort and enjoyment. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved the place! It’s super spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. The host was so kind, easy to talk to, and always ready to help if we needed anything. We loved everything about the apartment. Very nicely designed, very clean and with all the appliances we can imagine (there are 3 air conditioning units to ensure a nice temperature). On our 14-day trip across Sicily, this apartment beats all. There was even a basket full of fruit to welcome us. Giarre and neighbouring Riposto are unspoilt small towns with few tourists. We were the only foreigners wherever we ate. La Tavernetta was our favourite. The seafood market in Riposto was a perfect source for the meals we cooked in our suite. Driving in Sicily is fun as long as you copy the locals. Use Apple maps for navigation - Google maps was useless.

It's a small town by the sea...

It's a small town by the sea... It's not very "touristy" but it's a perfect base to visit Taormina, the etna, Catania. Overall I would say it's more convenient then charming! The fish market, the port, the local park with playground and some seafood restaurants made our stay in Giarre more than ok!

Giarre is not a great tourist attraction.

Giarre is not a great tourist attraction. However it is a great center for touring East Sicily. We found it very strange that Sicilians keep to their siesta even in winter. After sunset when it got very dark and a bit cold, we did not feel like going to a restaurant (they open at 6 or 7). So we cooked our dinners. Good for us, bad for them.

The house is great, clean, spacious, cozy and with a great view. On one side you can see the sea and on the other the volcano Etna. It is suitable for a family holiday. The owner Jessica is an extremely positive, smiling and responsive girl. She welcomed us with Sicilian sweets, a bottle of sparkling wine and mineral water, answered our every query within 3-4 minutes. I highly recommend sending there, we will certainly visit them again on our next trip to Sicily.

If you’re looking for a stay in the rural Sicily this is the place for you. But bear in mind that this may include some undesired insect visits (namely millipedes and mosquitoes), luckily we always travel with a plug-in mosquito repellent. It’s a good place if you want to visit nearby Taormina, Etna and maybe wineries nearby. The staff is really nice and helpful and you have a kitchen if wanting to prepare a light meal.
