Despite the fact that the hotel is old, it was nice to stay in Sole Splendid. It is located just next to the beautiful beach. We were on the top floor and had a very nice view of the sea. It is really worth paying extra to get a sea view room. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly. They answered all our questions and provided valuable recommendations. The breakfast was amazing. Delicious with so much choice. The staff were lovely, always happy and helpful. The room was fresh and modern with stunning views of the concourse, street, and sea. 180 degree view of water. Check in and out was easy. The staff were all so helpful when asked a question. The atmosphere in and around the hotel was relaxed elegance. It was positioned near by gelato, pizza and other lovely eating places as well as the Main Street almost around the corner in Maiori.

One of the nicest hotels we ever stayed in. We got an offer to upgrade to a suite when booking our trip on booking.com and we couldn’t have been happier, the room was beautiful but the views from the balcony were even better. We got champagne and a dessert sent to our room shortly after check in to celebrate our honeymoon and also got to use the on site spa which was needed after a day trip on the boat. We loved everything about our stay.

Maiori is a quieter (thankfully) seaside town along the Amalfi Coast. Its perfect for exploring the whole coastline by ferry and bus. Its also very easy to visit Vietri ( think ceramics on a major scale). You can start the Path of Lemons right in Maiori ( we did) and also visit Ravello. We did the hike to Ravello ( there's a fork in the path) and it was really testing. Although you can see Ravello, its across a valley and so the hike takes you uphill, through the mountain forests and around the valley - some 8-9 kms as opposed to the easy lemon path (tough). Maiori has everything, but its not hectic like Amalfi and Positano ( you can easily escae back home) Don't hesitate to book Maiori or Minori (around the corner) both offer exceptional value when compared. Beware of accommodation up or down flights of stairs to get there, that's what many places will do to you - carrying luggage is tiresome.

Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast.

Maiori is an interesting town on the Amalfi Coast. The beach is big and much more accessible that other towns. The local bus service (Sita) is good except that the buses fill up and you can be left waiting for the next one and hopefully get on it. The Amalfi Coast road is amazing, winding, narrow and so busy with traffic nonstop passing with inches to spare - sometimes buses and cars have to back up to pass on some parts. The Italian bus drivers are extremely skilled - some are nice, but some are extremely mean (and I think hate Tourists)

Amazing city with very nice restaurants and great ferry connection. It was a very good decision for us to stay in a smaller city, because Maiori has a fantastic beach, it was not that busy, but we still had access to all the bigger cities on the coast.

Maiori is a fantastic town — not as touristy or crowded as...

Maiori is a fantastic town — not as touristy or crowded as Amalfi, and not as expensive as Positano. It has the longest stretch of beach along the Amalfi Coast, complete with a lovely promenade for walking. This also means there are more hotel options on flat ground, without endless stairs, and several free beaches to choose from. Another great thing is that there are fewer boats here, and the port is located away from the main beach, which helps keep the water exceptionally clean. If you want to explore the rest of the coast, ferries depart from the port every couple of hours in all directions, making it easy and convenient to visit nearby towns.

We were 100% satisfied with our stay in Maiori.

We were 100% satisfied with our stay in Maiori. It’s a great place to base oneself on the Amalfi out of the frenzy of some of the other more touristy towns which are still easy to access by ferry or bus. Always lovely to get back to the calm and the lovely long stretch of beach that Maiori offers with great swimming.

The flat was very clean and well equipped. The balcony had great views of mountains, sea, and Maiori town. My little one really liked the extra shower fitted outside. Its location was very convenient too, less than 10 minutes walk to the beach and centre of Maiori, the steps outside were the starting point of the amazing lemon path to Minori. It was a great base to visit other towns on the Amalfi coast. Communication from the host was also really good, they arranged for a driver to take our car to park in a secure place.

Great property in a great quiet street location. Beach, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. A great property to explore Maiori and the Amalfi Coast. From our experience, Maiori was a lot quieter and a better choice than Positano and Amalfi. Great hosts and great communication before and during our stay- water and snacks also provided. Highly recommend this property.

Perfekt location if you want to go to the beach, for shopping or visit restaurants. If you want to visit a whole Amalfi coast, Maiori and Hotel Riviera is just perfekt choice. I can only recommend this hotel and place for a pleasant stay. The staff is gentle and they give as a parking for our Vespa! :) The view from roof top is magnificent.

The oudoor facilities at this hotel are amazing. Maiori is a gem of the Amalfi Coast with less craziness than other major towns. The room met our needs although some dish soap and other amenities to let us clean dishes would have been helpful.
