Stefano is a very welcoming host and helped us with fantastic recommendations for hikes and activities. The room was sparkly clean and very modern, with a comfortable bed and AC. It is a pictoresque little city without many tourists.

It is a pictoresque little city without many tourists. There are various restaurants and little beaches. It feels Italian in a wonderful relaxed way. The public transport by boat is great for visiting other cities around the lake and leaving the car behind. Returning from "hot spots" like Bellagio or Varenna always felt like a relief.

We walked around the area, went to the grocery store, went down to the lake, walked around the city along the lake. We chose restaurants based on our favorite Italian rule: go where the locals go. Luckily, there are very few tourists in Mandello, so it was easy to find good places with tasty and cheap food. We moved around the city on foot. You have to take into account that the city is located at the base of a mountain, and part of the time you have to walk uphill.

A wonderful lakeside village, with a fantastic Moto Guzzi museum and tour, away from the hustle and bustle of Bellagio, a true gem in Lake Como. Wonderful people everywhere, including the Mamma Ciccia, the Osteria Colombo. Concerts in the piazza outside our apartment and a wonderful village life experience.

We loved it there it there. Harbour accessible for ferries. Not as touristy as some place. We enjoyed just sitting on benches in the shade reading our books. We mainly catered for ourselves. I'm dairy free and my partner is veggie, we found it difficult to find somewhere to just have a simple meal that wasn't pizza or a bit pricey. The train station is 7 - 10 mins away although there is a bus replacement service til September buses every 15 mins so not too bad.

Loved Mandello. It is a fantastic location.

Loved Mandello. It is a fantastic location. This charming village offers plenty to do and is perfect for scenic walks along the lake or through the park. It's less touristy than the more well-known towns, which gives it an authentic, local feel. Restaurants, cafes, a big supermarket, free parking. We visited in mid May and it was amazing. Thank you! Looking forward to being back!

The apartment is great! It looks quite newly renovated, has A/C, big shower, very well equipped. The location is perfect - ferry right at the doorstep, few restaurants and a bakery just around the corner and train station less than 8 minutes away by foot. We felt in love with Mandello del Lario and the place! Owner was really nice and met us at the train station.

The perfect location to explore Lago Como by ferry (the port is just a few steps away), Locanda Alberti, with its easy self-check-in and helpful instructions and modern amenities, is a great place to return to after a day spent around the lake. Mandello del Lario is a beautiful quiet town with a relaxed atmosphere.

It was beautiful! Lovely garden, near to the lake and great hiking opportunities. Shopping and restaurants very close. The hut is very clean and everything we needed for cooking is available. We arrived with public transport in Mandello del Lario, everything easy to access.

It's a lovely village where you can stay a night or two to discover Como ! The hotel is really well located, it's a beautiful building and the room are quiet and clean. The staff was really nice and helpful! Breakfast included was also great value.
