Great location to visit with amazing views over the city and water. I went both up the hill/mountain to an old fort and to the Faro Torre beach which was amazing. The food was great. The city was a lot of hills if you don`t mind the light cardio you are good.

For the city itself, I had one night there and most of one day, For craft beer lovers, Beer Bang is a great place to go for choice of beer, friendly staff and atmosphere. Daytime, I saw a lot of the city but there were a couple of places that I didn't have time to visit. If I'd been there longer I would also have travelled up and down the coastline a bit more, it appears to be attractive. Ferry port/station easy to find/navigate from.

Messina is a pretty city in a beautiful spot that is off the radar for most travelers. The cathedral, rebuilt after the 1908 earthquake, is beautiful, with Byzantine mosaics in the apses that miraculously survived. The clock tower mechanical clock is spectacular even though it only operates once a day. The regional museum is full of treasures that were salvaged from churches destroyed in the earthquake. The highlights are two Caravaggios and an Antonello da Messina triptych. Interestingly, Messina appears not to promote itself. The tourist office seemed to always be closed. I ended up asking in shops what sights to see, how to get to them on busses, and for restaurant recommendations. Locals were very glad to help me with that information.

Super clean, modern, and comfortable stay with a great view (+ elevator !). The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even helping us sort out a booking mistake and letting us drop off our bags early. The location is ideal — close to both the train station and the city center, with cute cafés and bars nearby. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The stay included a breakfast at the cafe under the hotel (coffee and pastry or granita with brioche). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-run, convenient place in Messina.

Well I’m not good with technology so was stupid trying to get in. It was night but once sorted it was so simple!! Then the room the facilities and then the next morning breakfast exceptional !!! Stayed in Napoli previous night and it was the same but Florence before at twice the price was poor!! Will be making a special stop in Messina in November just to enjoy this B&B .. better than many hotels again!!

Very pleasant décor, everything was just right. Spacious and clean with extra touches like complementary breakfast and free coffee in the room. Top shower, too. The very friendly host was very easy to contact throughout, was present when we arrived and offered to give us any tips and advance on Messina and Sicily we may have needed. Highly recommended.

This hotel tries very hard to please. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and responded to all our needs as best they could. They also gave us a couple of gifts in the form of a dish foc at dinner for us to try and another at breakfast the following day which they said was typical of messina (granita).
