The location is great, in a beautiful countryside setting, close to Villa Romana del Casale. The premises are superb: wonderful gardens with splendid views of the hills; the house is elegantly furnished and very comfortable. Our room was also very convenient, I appreciate that even a safe box is provided. Dinner was delicious and inspiring, the house wine a great choice, and breakfast too was plentiful and offered a good variety. Everybody was polite and helpful and everything corresponded to the description on Booking.

Perfect location, clean and comfortable. The host was exceptional. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. Just a note for the unwary, Piazza Armenia is terrible to try and drive in and the property is in a ZTL. The host offers nearby parking, so check the address of where the parking is and navigate to that if you are driving. The host was exceptional. We had become hopelessly lost and frustrated trying to drive to the property even though we could see on google maps that we were less than 500m away. After about 40 minutes driving around very narrow and steep streets we parked the car near the Cathedral and walked to the property. After hearing of our experience and our reluctance to try and navigate anywhere the host drove us to the car, got us to follow him to the parking area, then back to the property. Excellent service!

It's an ancient town with several museums.

It's an ancient town with several museums. Most importantly, it's only 10 minutes drive from Villa Romana, where you can see the most important and extensive Roman mosaics in the world. They will take your breath away! Get there early and the coaches won't have arrived. Most important tip - if you come by car - get a SMALL one. The roads are tiny and I don't know how a large car would manage.

I highly recommend visiting Villa Romana del Casale which...

I highly recommend visiting Villa Romana del Casale which was remarkable. However Piazza Armerina itself does not cater for visitors well with very few options for evening meals. I stayed in the Centro Storico and it may have been better in the newer part of the town

A wonderful place, full of history and atmosphere. From visiting incredible sites such as Villa Romana del Casale to strolling within the wonderful architecture of the city, to the impressive Basilica with fantastic views.

It was nice to have plenty of time to visit Villa Romana del Casale. I enjoyed a small group tour with Get Your Guide, and I went back a second time on my own because there is so much to see, a UNESCO treasure!

Piazza Armerina is a wonderful town in the centre of Sicily.

Piazza Armerina is a wonderful town in the centre of Sicily. Not only do you find there the most beautiful Roman mosaics in the nearby Villa Romana del Casale. The historic city of Piazza Armerina is a splendid and picturesque place. The panoramic view of the historic city from the famous viewpoint is one of the most breathtaking views in Sicily. Nearby you also find the interesting Aidone and Morgantina.

Il triclinio B&B has well equipped, large rooms and facilities in the modern part of town. The breakfast was excellent, the landlady was very friendly and helpful, and there is plenty of parking immediately outside the property - frequently a scarce resource in Sicily! I rated it better than my expectation because it appears to have been very recently refurbished and the rooms are immaculate. A relatively short drive to the Roman Villa.

People make all the difference to an experience, and our host made our trip to Piazza Amerina ❤️. He was accessible by WhatsApp, warm and helpful via text and in person, enhancing our time in Sicily and suggesting ways to enjoy local and regional food and places. Having the little kitchen was great, wifi was solid, bed was comfy. Parking and driving instructions also helpful.

You can tell Cristian worked in fashion. He has an excellent eye for style; this is a beautiful house. Welcome drinks and his mother’s home made cake, superb breakfast and even a pizza party too. He aims to please and more than succeeds. Great location too. Spend at least two nights as Piazza Armerina is a town worth getting to know.

The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and one of the hosts cooked us an exceptional good meal (7 dishes and wine) for 35 euros per person and was better than all the restaurants in Sicily. They also offered us coffee and drinks on arrival which was very welcome. Extensive breakfast was also good.
