This place is a real treasure in Toscana! The people that run it are so kind and nice! The food and wine served are awesome, traditional and local, and inexpensive. A great breakfast buffet with delicious cakes and eggs and coffee! On the weekend the restaurant is packed with locals. And the view is something else, it has got to be the best... you just can't get enough of this mesmerizing landscape that stretches out at your feet, all the way to the sea in the far distance. There is a great pool, nice grass and lounge chairs, a large field below slopes down toward the tree line. There is a patio with tables and chairs, there's parking near the rooms or on the lower level, and the airy dining room has windows everywhere, the sun sets to the left of you. You hear the cuckoo in the evening! The room is large and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and a typical terracotta floor. You do not want to leave this place... there is so much harmony and kindness and beauty! A big kiss to all of you!

Lovingly restored with a hidden terrace - ideal for catching the sun while enjoying breakfast which was abundant and delicious - Marcello even freshly baked a croissant for me. Ilario is a kind and easygoing host. :) The house is cute and cozy, quite large for two couples. The location is truly good - a stunning medieval town in Maremma, smack-bang close to Saturnia hot Springs, Pitigliano and much more. Top value - the bnb is definitely worth the price. The village and surroundings are beautiful, the vicinity to the thermal baths in Saturnia is very practical. Also the house has a rustic charme, which could be beautiful if that's what you're looking for, but requires adaptation and comes with loss of comfort. The host was friendly and gave us good instructions to find the place, even if he was not so honest about the parking situation. There are parking spots in the beginning of the village and it's not that far and really not a problem to have a little walk but following the advice of the host we went into a dead end street which we struggled to come back out of after seeing that the two available parking spots in that street were taken.

Everything! Grounds and surrounding area - beautiful. Location perfect if visiting the Saturnia springs near by. Hotel is located on its own natural thermal spring which although a bit stinky (sulphur) - you get used to it. The hotel facilities were fantastic. Giovanni in the restaurant was wonderful and welcoming and has great stories of his experience. We had some of the best meals in the restaurant at the hotel. Very very pleased we made the trip and stayed here.

Just delightful! Comfortable bed, modern clean bathroom, the host couldn't have communicated better with this English speaker in an Italian world. The property was in a fabulous location and the recommendations for dining out in the area are just perfect, and if you stay here you get a wee discount on dinner. Wish we could have stayed longer this wee town is fantastic. And only a 6 min drive to the hot water waterfalls the area is well known for.

Kindness of Marcello, owner of the premise, cleanliness of the room, amazing view on the village and on the mountains, wonderful breakfast with genuine handmade cakes and confiture, absolute silence of the small village of Semproniano. Marcello, everyday prapared for us a detailed an accurate list of places to see and thing to do around the location. Wonderful the "cascate del molino" in Saturnia terms.

It was a privilege to be able to stay at the heart of a beautiful well maintained Italian village. It was quiet and non touristy but had everything we needed, great cafe, restaurant etc at our doorstep and lovely locals.Semproniano was the perfect distance away from Rome international airport to rest after a long flight before travelling.

Throughout my whole bikepacking trip, La Antiche Mura, was the place where I immediately felt at home. Everything is incredibly lovingly done. Marcello welcomes you with open arms and is always available for questions. I hope one day I will be able to return to Semproniano and visit this magical place again.

Excellent little hotel with a great room. The host couldn't be more helpful if he tried. Exceptional gentleman. We was fortunate enough to stay during a thunder and lightning storm, great experience. Cannot recommend this place enough.
