Everything about the hotel was fantastic. Very romantic and relaxing atmosphere for our honeymoon. The room had a small swimmingpool inside, and everything felt new, crestive and modern, but also very cozy. The garden had a great swimmingpool with drinks and food available. The staff is extremely helpfull and welcomming. It took 20-30 minutes to walk to the center/beaches, but transport is very easy to arrange both day and night.

The hotel is new, modern, clean, lovely ... staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, handmade daily prepared by two ladies. I came first day before check in time and I was offered with free breakfast. The location is great, in the old town, close to the beach. I ordered transfer from the airport and everything was perfect, on time, as agreed. Strongly recommend.

An incredibly cozy hotel with pleasant staff. Initially, I was put in a room that was not very comfortable. Many thanks to Kristina, who found a room and I was moved. Large balcony, city view, huge bed, very comfortable pillows and mattress. The refrigerator was working fine, as was everything in the room. Separately, I would like to highlight the air conditioner, which was super silent. Excellent breakfast, which takes place on the roof overlooking the sea. I was definitely satisfied and wish the hotel prosperity)

It is a very picturesque town, and it is easy to visit the...

It is a very picturesque town, and it is easy to visit the top spots. Take a slow walk down the cliff from the town to the beach. The sand is fine and the water is a clear blue. Go up to the monastery and take photos of the coast. Just spend some time walking down the narrow streets and alleyways. We went in the offseason and didn't get a chance to visit Stromboli, the volcanic island. That should be a highlight and something we will do next time.

We loved the choice of beaches and the crystal clear sea, we could see fish swimming within touching distance of us. When its really hot, there is plenty of shady beach areas if wanted. The old town was amazing to see from the beach underneath, the way its been built on the cliff. Good choice of restaurants and bars.

I loved the views and the variety of spots to relax from...

I loved the views and the variety of spots to relax from high up in town to down close to the sea. The wind and cooler temperatures stopped us from entering the water however, as the sea temperature is still quite temperate there were many swimmers early October.

The beaches were amazing.

The beaches were amazing. Places we ate that I recommend, That's Amore, great food and lots of ambiance, Diamante Rosso, Pinturicchio has great fish dishes and the best gelato was at Gelati Tonino.

Tropea is a beautiful town and a beautiful beach resort.

Tropea is a beautiful town and a beautiful beach resort. There was a lovely atmosphere there. Nice restaurants and reasonable priced. While spectacular there are lots of steps between the beach and the town which may not suit some people.

Such and incredible place!

Such and incredible place! It ticks all the boxes: reachable by train/airplane, beautiful village, incredible beach. You can easily reach by boat the Eolian islands or via train Scilla and Reggio Calabria.

The views were amazing. Lovely place. After reading reviews about how small the place is, I wasn't sure to book. But I was glad I did! The studio apartment was perfect, no different to a hotel room but with the added bonus of a kitchen, pool and beautiful views. I had 2 young children with me, managed fine with the space. Pool was amazing with onsite lifeguard. There is also a laundry room you can use, which is was also great. We had a car so this is a must when traveling to hill top accommodate in Italy. Definitely will be back!

This is our second visit to Don Carlo and it definitely won’t be our last! We absolutely love the central location, amazing hosts, comfortable modern furnishings and the delicious freshly cooked breakfast on the terrace! Huge thank you to Karina for all the recommendations for food, ice cream and drinks in the area! The avocado toast was especially delicious and the freshly baked croissants with Pistachio - best breakfast in Italy so far! See you again next year, hopefully for longer this time! ❤️

Great modern apartment right at the heart of Tropea. Nice new facilities with comfortable bed and great air conditioning and great breakfast option included (the best we have had so far in Italy). In addition, incredibly kind host who went the extra mile to help us be reunited with some belongings we left behind (including picking us up from the train station because of how hot it was!). Would definitely stay again.

This is a must book if you’re staying in Tropea. Mariano and his staff were so friendly and we absolutely loved the amazing buffet breakfast in the morning. The place is in a perfect location and the room was very clean. One of the best places we have stayed during our trip of Italy, can’t recommend enough.
