Ima-ya is located near the rice fields where the owners grow rice. Beyond the rice fields is a forest in which there is a Fox temple which the owner Tutsuji took us to on a walk around in the afternoon.There were many birds who are encouraged by the rice farmers as they help keep pests away. This is a quiet place close to nature with good food and a traditional style of Japanese house. It was an authentic experience of Japanese rural life. The hosts Nom and Tatsuji are very friendly and accommodating.

Our stay at the Temple Hotel was so much more than we hoped for. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The experiences on offer gave us an insight into Buddhism, temple life, traditional food, and culture. Everything was of the highest quality and thoughtfully provided. It was easy to catch the train there, and Ayabe is a delightful place after the busyness of Kyoto. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully, we can visit again one day.

Yasuko and her mother and daughter have been awesome with us, we felt part of the family for three days and experienced th Japanese life as in a dream. The lodging, the food, the sense of belonging, the advice, every detail was over the top.

My stay at Chabi Dining was absolutely exceptional! The beautiful, green landscapes create a tranquil setting, perfect for unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All the local attractions and recommendations from the hosts were exactly as described and absolutely amazing. Every visit to these places added something special to our experience. Even the activities offered on-site were top-notch and perfectly suited to our interests. I would happily return to Chabi Dining! It’s a place where tradition meets warm hospitality, and where the combination of nature, outstanding cuisine, and an authentic atmosphere create an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Lovely hosts, great (vegetarian option) food, quiet remote location close enough to a city, hot bath....its hard to put it all in words...it was everything great into the smallest detail and great value for money!

All good, very clean and convenient. Close to the train station.

Room is kept clean. Restaurant served dinner with reasonable price is in hotel. Drinks such as coffee and cold drinks are served free .

Perfect location. Right next to the train station. Onsen with top floor restaurant and bottom floor type cafe. Close to convenience store and Yoshinoya for good cheap food.
