1. The hotel and its rooms are modern and tasteful. Hotel Yagajiso successfully combined a harmonious convergence of nature, design and relaxation. 2. Location. We were looking for a beachside hotel and it was almost like a quiet private beach when we were there. 3. The breakfast in the morning was simple, delicious and so memorable. 4. The snorkelling we did at the beach was one of the best experiences we had in Okinawa. In the first 50m, there were mostly sea grass and the visibility limited because of the sandy bottom, but we were blessed with a very beautiful coral reef when we got closer to the small island directly ahead of Hotel Yagajiso. We also experienced something that had never happened before in our lives despite snorkelling and diving in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Australia and the Bahamas, a lone baby golden trevally accompanied us for about two hours while snorkelling at Yagajiso, swimming under us and around our legs the entire time. Oh, we also saw two rainbows during our swim. 5. Taro Kanakubo the general manager was very friendly and helpful. Seems like he's thought about everything his guests require for an excellent stay at Hotel Yagajiso.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Beautiful land that hasn't been destroyed by tourist and over use. The resort is beautiful and the tree houses are unique and fun. We arrived on a rainy day and it made the room even more magical. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Words can barely describe how exquisite our stay was. After traveling the Japanese mainland and Okinawa, we stayed for six consecutive nights with breakfast and dinner included as the final stop on our journey. The hotel’s location on the kouri-island, with surrounding views over the ocean truly is unique. From all we have seen on our travel, the Kouri-island was the truly best finish to our travel. Culinarily, the hotel’s “Bombance”-restaurant offers enriching experiences, with an amazing deep-dive into the Japanese kitchen. Noteworthy is the attention that the staff pays to one’s food-preferences as well as the fact that we also had two nights where Japanese specialty cooking was practiced. Breakfast is rich and diverse, with the choice between European and Japanese breakfast. The pool, spa and sports facilities are top-notch and quiet. A nice amenity is the poolside “happy hour” with drinks (beer, prosecco and non-alcoholic) “on the house” from 12 until 6 o’clock. The hotel is a center of tranquility and relaxation, where one must not care about anything. This would not have been possible without the excellent, friendly and thoughtful staff. On our day of departure even a breakfast-box was prepared as we couldn’t participate at normal breakfast. It sure is unique to have been to a hotel where literally everything was perfect.
