There were two queen-size beds in the room. The room was spacious and clean and I was able to open up my luggage. The staff was helpful and there are many parking spots available. Strongly Recommend staying here when you drive around this area.

The glamping was very nice, our cabin was spacious and warm. The beds were a bit hard, but comfortable. We actually were surprised how comfortable a glamping can be considering it is basically just camping where you do not have to expect much comfort. We ordered 2 sets of firewood and 4 hot lemonades and our evening was just wonderful. Though in the evening Fuji was hidden by clouds due to the weather, in the morning it improved and the view was spectacular! We had both dinner and breakfast and it was just enough for two hungry people, we were a bit clumsy cooking all that good meat but in the end it was delicious!

Lovely clean and tidy hotel. Breakfast was good. Nice onsen. Complimentary drinks on the evening were brilliant. The room was a good size. Shops nearby and bus depot has a free bus to shopping outlet. Near to mt Fuji and Fuji raceway museum.

The outlets have always been raved about, but they're just high-end shopping outlets that you could find anywhere. It's not unique to Japan and was a bit of a waste of our time. Otherwise, Gotemba is the perfect area overlooking Fuji, and we love returning every year! Rembrandt Premium Hotel is by far the highlight for us with their meals and stay.

Everything about Gotemba is excellent and magical.

Everything about Gotemba is excellent and magical. Gotemba is one of the most significant epicenters for adventure and sightseeing in all of Japan. It is of course an exceptional gateway to hiking and adventuring on Mount Fuji using the Gotemba, Subashiri and Fujinomiya 5th Station traiheads. Hakone-Yumoto onsens/spas and Lake Ashi are also right in the area. Free shuttle buses offer a 20 minute ride straight to the Famous Gotemba Outlets if shopping for 15 hours is what you are in the mood for. Don't forget Odawara Castle just down the way or Fuji-Q and the Fuji Speedway just up the way, to name a few. Gotemba ROCKS! Mount Fuji and the Osunabashiri descending trail are really the #1 world class attraction among many. Furthermore, all the special local people who support all the vast Gotemba opportunities are the best and truly loved.

We came to Gotemba because we wanted a base from which to...

We came to Gotemba because we wanted a base from which to climb Fuji and the hotels offered an onsen which was far more reasonable that some of the other hotels in area. There is a bus that runs from the train station to the 5th station where you can start your climb - just make sure you exit the station on the right side! (left as you come up the stairs from the trains) Most useful if you've got a car otherwise I think I'd have stayed elsewhere

We found the hotel was easy to locate and noticed several signs with the hotel and the distance (kilometers) to the hotel. Hotel parking area was conveniently located near the elevators and with good lighting. We found a great yakiniku place within a 10 min. drive from the hotel and saw many other options for places to eat. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful on explaining the hotel facilities. If we stayed for more than one night we would have been interested if there were places within walking distance of the hotel.

I lived there for 7 months 3 years and some change ago, but with COVID-19, the city has taken a big hit. Tourists were there, but not as many as before. The places I'd recommend to eat at before are no longer there, too. If you're considering coming to Gotemba, thoroughly do your research and partake of neighboring cities like Mishima, Numazu, Hakone, and Odawara.

I specifically set aside a day for Gotemba during this trip...

I specifically set aside a day for Gotemba during this trip to Japan because of its huge outlet mall. There's a free shuttle bus from the outlet mall to Gotemba Station/bus station, running every 15-20 minutes until 8 PM, which is very convenient. The outlet mall not only sells a wide variety of high-end and mid-range goods, but also offers a wide range of excellent dining options. However, accommodation near the outlet mall is extremely limited; most options are either very expensive or consist of private dorm rooms separated by curtains, similar to youth hostels. I couldn't find a suitable hotel near Gotemba Station/bus station either, and the bus service to Gotemba is infrequent, requiring a 10-minute walk or more from the hotel to the station. There might be suitable hotels, but they weren't listed on Booking.com or Ctrip.

The hotel is very close to the bus station (less than 5 mins) making a great place to stay if you plan to get an early bus/train the next day! We took a bus to climb Mt.Fuji the next day and it was located in the perfect place for our needs! Staff are super nice as well !

This place was pretty convenient if you plan to go to the outlet and visit the onsen. The bus station was literally across the hotel and was about a 6 minute drive to the outlet. Onsen was clean and plus points for the free bowl of ramen and ice cream.
