Very nice and modern hotel. Staff was very nice and friendly. The area is a bit quieter if that's what you like. There is a streetcar stop very close which takes you to the train station/city center and the Miyajima ferry. The peace park is also in walking distance.

The staff was really helpful and kind, we were there early and they stored the luggage and later put it in our room. After check in they give you local welcome drink. We had a room next to common area and I was afraid it was going to be loud but luckily rooms have good soundproofing :) The bed was really comfortable. Location is near the main train station but there is a reasonable walking distance to memorial park.

    The city was a great inspiration.

    The city was a great inspiration. With not that many tourists around, Hiroshima stays authentic. We loved our day passes for public transport as they came in handy and even included a ferry to Miyajima island!

    The city is clean, tidy and well laid out.

    The city is clean, tidy and well laid out. There is a lot to see and places to visit. It was easy to get around and everyone we came in contact with was helpful and kind. The Peace Park and the Museum are a must to visit. The whole area has a great sense of calmness. Miyajuma Island is well worth a visit. It's beautiful and only took 45 to get there on a ferry from the Peace Park. Lots of places to eat and soak up the surroundings.

    I honestly feel everyone should visit Hiroshima.

    I honestly feel everyone should visit Hiroshima. First off, the bomb being dropped there was one of the defining events of the 20th cenrtury and the peace museum is a somber reminder to us all to never forget how horibl war is. Secondly, it's incredible to see the city that has grown up in the 80 years since. It is a beautiful city of rivers and bridges and is very walkable with yummy fod everywhere. Finally, the island of Miyajima is an easy ferry hop from downtown with its beautiful shrine and iconic torii (and tame deer).

    A lovely city with plenty of art, history, and delicious food. Oysters, lemons, okonomiyaki, etc. Miyajima Island was a delight and Hiroshima Castle was fascinating to see. On a more somber note, visiting the Atomic Bomb Memorial and the Peace Museum might be a little emotionally overwhelming for some people, but it was a valuable experience. Make sure to have plenty of time to go through the park and the museum. The local restaurants and izakayas were welcoming and chatting with locals was a lot of fun. I would have liked to visit more cafes in Hiroshima, but didn't have enough time. Overall, it was a short but good trip and I'd like to visit the city again sometime.

    we spent 2 nights - Day 1 did Hiroshima - Museum, Atomic...

    we spent 2 nights - Day 1 did Hiroshima - Museum, Atomic Bomb Dome - Peace park etc... (4 - 5 hrs will do the lot) Day 2 we had a private guided tour of Itsukushima Shrine and Miyajima Island / Mt Misen and ate okonomyaki (Traditional hiroshima style)

    Great traditional Japanese room and very spacious! The air conditioning is great and staff give a warm welcome. There's vending machines available for both food and drink as well as an ice machine. We did not really explore the local area too much, but was a short walk to the main Hiroshima station which we did use a few times. A lot of people have commented about the hotel being aged, but I think that's a part of it's charm, definitely worth the price that you pay.

    A nice and new building, not too big, not small, almost like a boutique hotel like. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very close to a street car/tram. A parking across the street. You get a discount voucher for a close by grocery store where you can also get lots of bento. I just love the place. A plus point. There is a must-to-visit Hiroshima Reimen restaurant near by.

    Hotel is close to the train station and main shopping area and not much past that is the peace museum and A Bomb dome . The main tram line is a five minute walk The staff were very pleasant and helpful. My room faced the river which offered a nice vista out the window. Being on the cheaper side of accommodation in Hiroshima it did what it said on the label.

We especially appreciated the kindness and responsiveness of the staff in returning my daughter's tablet left in their room via Yamato. Thanks you. Having dietary restrictions, I had doubts about breakfast, but it is varied with lots of choices.
