Takai the owner was sooooo helpful, it made all the difference to my stay in Matsumoto. I loved the book he made describing the different restaurants and what their specialities were. So much love and hard work have gone into making this place special. Takai was patient and answered all of my questions and went out of his way to help me. I am very grateful for his kindness and consideration. Lots of eating and drinking places are only a few minutes away as is the castle. It's also only about 15 minutes walk from the station so even with a suitcase I could walk here.

Location is within walking distance to Matsumoto castle and 20m walk from the station. Rooms are clean, well lit and felt luxurious to me with dimmable lights and a big TV. Had a really comfortable stay and staff were good, let me leave my bag the next day and provide nice toiletries.

Central location with lovely outlook to the mountains. The room was spacious, comfortable & clean. The executive lounge that we had access to was a bonus & very nice. The laundry facilities were good, and the breakfast, while very busy, was adequate. The shuttle bus service was excellent. The hotel is close to everything, including the castle 🏰 & would stay here again. Matsumoto is well worth a visit. We enjoyed the travel, arriving by bus from Takayama & then travelled to Tokyo via train from Matsumoto.
