Excellent staff, location and accomodation. We chose to upgrade into family accomodation which had us in a suite of authetic Japanese rooms surrounded by Japanese antiques! We were lucky enough to enjoy local acitivities and cuisine as suggested by our host.

The room and the building were very beautiful and clean. The onsen was very nice, I especially enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof in the outdoor onsen. The staff were very nice and helpful. They also told us about a local festival that we enjoyed!

There’s only one hotel like this in the world — and it’s right here. You walk deep into the mountainside, through a dark corridor that feels like a secret passageway, and then step into your private suite — and your breath is taken away. A luxurious private room with a stunning balcony and a relaxing jacuzzi — it feels like it’s just you and your partner alone in the world. The view of the endless sea is absolutely breathtaking, like a dream come true. In the morning, we were treated to a ten-course breakfast at the restaurant above — each dish better than the last. The staff were professional, friendly, and always smiling — taking care of everything we needed.

I went to Iwami Ginzan and Yunotsu.

I went to Iwami Ginzan and Yunotsu. I didn't have a car, so I spent the whole day in Iwami Ginzan, just in the Omori district and the neighboring district, which I could reach from the bus stop right next to my lodging. However, it's a precious place where the way Japanese life should be remains, and there's a solid lifestyle there that makes me want to live there. For lunch, I ate a large sesame tofu and conger eel. If I had the legs, I would have liked to visit other districts. The spring water in Yunotsu was excellent, and it immediately relieved my muscle pain. I also wanted to visit Mononobe Shrine and Mt. Sanbe, which I learned about after arriving.
