This house is renovated with great hospitality in mind. It is a blend of new and old. What I love is the thought behind the property and the host. The bathroom is top notched, the care taken on details: hand towels and amenities (shower cap, toothbrushes, cotton pads). The heating is good (although we didn’t need it), there is a washing machine for long stays and the full kitchen (complete with a rice cooker) makes it a home away from home. It is great for longer stays and the beds are comfortable to render a good night’s rest. I have to say, the blanket covers and bed sheets are well laundered (and it makes a great difference)! This means the housekeeping is top notched! It is close to lots of eateries and the lake. The carpark is great for families traveling with a rental car.

The stay was simply perfect. The house was spotless and much more spacious than the pictures suggest. You can feel the love in every detail of the interior,it doesn’t feel like a "hotel" at all, but like a real home, fully equipped for a comfortable stay over several days. The location is also brilliant. I already had high expectations based on the photos, but they were clearly exceeded. No doubt: if I ever come back to Japan, I’ll rent this house again,for that price, absolutely.

Just a paradise gateway! We had the most incredible and relaxing time here. Food was unexpectedly a large tasting menu of fine small dishes and was great! Staff are amazing and so kind, facilities are great, location is lovely and scenic and quiet. Onsen is clean and beautiful. All in all great time, didn’t want to leave
