the family rooms with bunk beds are designed perfectly for a family with kids. The stay becomes very comfortable and also enjoyable. We loved the way the room was furnished with all the required amenities without compromising on free space. The breakfast spread was good every day. It had a bunch of vegetarian options which was superb for us. The location of the hotel is perfect if you are going towards Disneyland, TeamLabs, Legoland etc. the metro station is right in front of the hotel. Furthermore, it is only three stops away from the Tokyo station. Breakfast, location, wi-fi, room size, amenities - all were really good. There is a convenience store right inside the hotel and a currency exchange machine too. Hotel reception staff were fluent in English and were helpful with information about things outside the hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Center near the waterfront, and savor the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Outdoor markets sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

It's nice, pleasant place, I would say if anything lets it...

It's nice, pleasant place, I would say if anything lets it down its probably the location, there isn't much around there, which probably is why the pricing is so reasonable for your own room and breakfast (the breakfast was pretty good but very busy and very euro, which can be good or bad depending on what you're after) I would probably stay there again, especially if coming back and wanting my own room to get a decent sleep or whatever, the best thing the area has going for it is its only a 10 min walk to a train station and there is a market on the surrounding streets, but other than that, you really have to get out of the area to experience Osaka, which is why I feel like I probably didn't see that much when I left.

So many things to see, eat and buy.

So many things to see, eat and buy. I don't even know where to begin. I've been to Tokyo 3 times in the last 3 years. Once you start going, you won't stop. Also don't be afraid if you don't know any Japanese, I don't know any and I got by just fine. The two things you really need are Google Maps and Translate. Maps will essentially give you all the information you need to get around easily without getting lost (mostly). I used the translation app for text, communicating with people was fine with limited English. Bring your absolute most comfortable shoes, on average I walked like 18k steps a day. You can mostly get by with a credit card but may need some cash, but not much, less than $500 USD in yen should be fine if you're staying less than a month. There are ATMs in all the convenient stores if you need to withdraw more cash. I suggest watching videos about places to visit and decide for yourself which ones you want to see, there's too many for me to list here.

Subway is modern and gets one around the city pretty easily,...

Subway is modern and gets one around the city pretty easily, but it can be very crowded during commute hours, and sometimes the staff give bad directions to the place one might be asking directions to! Many places to visit that are scenic with a wide variety of cuisines, except for Mexican and Latin cuisines...Price ranges from inexpensive to expensive, but even some of the inexpensive places have great tasting food. Some places offer English menus! Many scenic locals that are both modern and ancient! Many types of shopping from Japanese, American and European designer fashion. Many great deals and variety for modern electronics and per-packaged food items. There are some good antiques stores as well! Language barrier can sometimes be frustrating, as many people don't speak languages other than Japanese, nor are there a lot of street signage in English for products and menus.

Location was great, especially for those exploring Shinjuku/Shibuya. Very vibrant nightlife. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Stayed in a standard double room -- non-smoking. My husband and I thought the room was a perfect size for us. This is not always the case being an American traveler in Japan, as Japan's hotel rooms are much smaller.
