This hotel offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Situated in the center of town, it's perfect for exploring the city on foot. The pool is a nice addition, and I enjoyed spending time there. The team at the hotel was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Definitely a place I’ll return to!

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel, one of the nicest I've ever stayed at. The highlight of the hotel is the staff, who from start to finish were a pleasure to deal with. They were really helpful to us to arrange pick up, drop off, shuttles and tours and basically anything we needed they were there always with a smile and a friendly face. The room and facilities are top quality including a well equipped gym with air con and water available. We had breakfast lunch and dinner here and enjoyed the food a lot. The pool has a nice view of the mountains and a nice atmosphere in general.

I really appreciated the helpful service provided by the receptionist, who gave me great tips for Vang Vieng and helped me out with several problems. The pool is gigantic and it was so nice to take a swim at night after a long day of hiking. I will definitely stay at Khampenseuth Hotel again the next time I visit Laos.

The place is gold, scenery awesome and inspiring.

The place is gold, scenery awesome and inspiring. Hot air ballon a must, climb to The view, tough but your reward is at the top, breathless. Make sure you get pic on bike. Lots of other stuff to do, give yourself at last 3 full days to take it in. This place you will remember long after you have left.

I love the sceneries, the loas people are very friendly, nice food. The setback is that there are many potholes along the road from Vientiane to Vang Vieng. I wish the government could improve on the infrastructure.

Visiting one or two lagoons is definitely worth it.

Visiting one or two lagoons is definitely worth it. Also, I recommend a trek to a viewing point. We went to the ‘airplane’ viewing area. Quite a strenuous climb but you’ll be rewarded at the top. We also did a hot air balloon flight. Well worth it.

There is a great variety of experiences on offer which for us as an older group included canoeing, swimming at blue lagoons 3 and 4, enjoying the restaurants in the town particularly Happy Mango, walking up Nam Xay Viewpoint, tubing and paramotoring. Be aware that in March when we visited that there is a lot of smoke in the air which obscures the view of the beautiful karst countryside.

The cave nearby and the river are very good tourist spots. There isn’t much otherwise in the town itself that warrants a long stay. We had one night (afternoon and evening) in Vang Vieng as we were travelling from Vientiane to Luang Prabang and it was enough.

We managed to fill in the 3 days with a walking, climbing...

We managed to fill in the 3 days with a walking, climbing hills and exploring some easily accessible caves. Many of the activities are designed for young people so apart from what we did, there is not much else to do. Certainly for older and less mobile people it would not be an easy place to visit.

Friendly staff and fantastic location in central Vang Vieng. Cheap budget accommodation - you get what you pay for! The hotel facilities are in need of some attention and TLC. Broken bathroom bench and leaking pipes. The room does not have a window so it’s a very dark room. Noise travels throughout the corridor and there is music playing at a nearby club until midnight every night.

Probably the most comfortable hostel I’ve stayed so far in Laos. The beds are on the softer side, so my back appreciated this. Good selection of breakfast options, nice space to chill and talk to other travellers. I like that the toilet and showers are separate. I also liked the hostel was located in the quieter part of Vang Vieng. Convenience store opposite the hostel
