The room was spacious and very clean. The hosts were very kind. The gentleman from the Cabanas guide us all from the town. Then fresh flowers were placed all around. Worth for the money. Calm and quite peaceful environment. Recommend for couples.

Lovely serene grounds with some very new individuals villas - some with a pool and some without. Super clean, nice staff and great location if you drive your own Tuktuk or are happy to book one for transport to Pinnawala (10 mins drive away).

Rosyth Estate is a wonderful little hotel in the middle of nowhere. The team was extremely welcoming and did go above and beyond, even though we only stayed there for one night. Special kudos to the best chicken curry we had ever!

Incredible place, one of the nicest we stayed in Sri Lanka and it was just meant to be a stopover. Very comfortable room. Great common area and pool. River was really nice to swim in too. The best was the warm welcome from Lakshan and getting to chat with him. He is a great host and very good cook too! Would definitely recommend staying and eating there. Food was very reasonable prices and very good quality .

I had a truly wonderful experience, and I’m especially grateful for the amazing service and support from my guide, Andrew. He’s honestly the hero of this place! From the moment I arrived, he made everything smooth and easy — he met me at the railway station, drove me to the hotel, helped with check-in, and explained the program ahead. The next day, he greeted me after breakfast and invited me to watch traditional local wedding dances — such a unique moment! He then took me to the herbal garden, the elephant orphanage, and the zoo, let me try some local street food, and shared so many interesting stories about Sri Lankan culture and traditions. It was my first time visiting Sri Lanka, and I came alone — so having such a kind and knowledgeable guide made all the difference. Thanks to Andrew, my trip was not just safe and easy, but truly bright and joyful. I also really enjoyed my hotel stay — the river view from the room was beautiful, watching elephants from the pool felt surreal, and the whole atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

Omg what an absolute gem, our favourite accommodation of the whole trip, we had a balcony view of the street so we could see the elephants walking by to go to the river, the room was amazing, big comfy bed, good air con, massive bathroom and it was so spacious. Didn't try the food but you can dine on a balcony overlooking the street also. Staff are really nice as well, there were some young lads working there this week they helped us with our bags and directions to our next destination, can't remember there names but they are a credit to the business
