I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, this is the perfect place! The atmosphere is incredibly quiet and serene, making it an ideal spot to unwind. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was evident in every corner. The view of the river was just great. One of the highlights of my stay was the food – absolutely delicious! Every meal was prepared with care, using fresh ingredients, and the flavors were simply amazing. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, everything exceeded expectations. What truly sets this place apart is the warm and friendly hospitality of the owners. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always ready to assist with anything you need. Their kindness and dedication to their guests create a home-away-from-home feeling that is rare to find. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with outstanding service, delicious food, and wonderful hosts, this is the place to be. I will definitely be returning!

Such a great location! A calm place at the lake. You can start boat safari straight vom the Resort. Food is delicious! Usually I eat outside the stay, but in Kalapuwa Ressort I went for breakfast and dinner every day. Authentic kitchen with very good quality. The staff was so nice and welcoming. It really felt like home.

Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

It's not really a city, but a village.

It's not really a city, but a village. But it has everything you need. We went to a fish restaurant and on a river safari. I recommend the restaurant. It was delicious. The safari is nothing special; they just take you down the river and drop you off at places with unnecessary attractions like fish peeling. We only walked along the road. It was unpleasant.

Boat tours are offered everywhere on the Mahdu River; you shouldn't have to pay more than 6,000 rupees for two people. Often, they charge more. Be careful with seafood prices; prawns are often very expensive!

This private villa, with its spotless pool and homely charm, felt like a sanctuary. It was the perfect blend of comfort and luxury, offering us a home away from home. The best part? It was just a short stroll to the breathtaking beach. Our family cherished every moment and can't wait to return!

Villa Carla is a gem. The hotel is right in front of the beach and has only a few rooms, each It’s beautifully decorated by the owners. The staff is great, always super helpful and very discreet. The beach in front of the hotel is one of the best we’ve seen in Sri Lanka! We only stayed at Villa Carla for three days. This is a place where to spend and relax for at least a week! We hope to Come back soon!

Very kind owner who does his best to ensure clients satisfaction. If you love art, you should speak to him about it ! He is a passionate collector. The hotel is very clean and spacious. Breakfast could be a little bit better for a 5 star hotel, but still it was delicious. The pool was clean. The very best thing about this hotel is the view you get from your room. Amazing 🤩...

Superb location with a beautiful beach. The hotel put on live music in the evenings. The food was delicious although not very varied. The chef came out to greet us which was a nice touch. Friendly staff and considered interior design.
