I had a wonderful stay at Royal Lion in Galagadara. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and clean, with stunning mountain views that make your stay feel peaceful and relaxing. The food was also delicious — freshly prepared and full of flavor. Beautiful house and grounds. We were the only guests and the hotel really feels more like a private home. The staff set up tables in different parts of the garden at different times of day - lovely shady breakfast under the mangosteen tree, which a staff member nipped up to pick us the fruit! All the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the hotel has lots of nice places to sit with a drink or a book. Lovely pool. Delicious food. Filtered water on tap. Kind and thoughtful staff. Perfectly placed in quiet surroundings just outside Kandy, but easy to get in and out by tuktuk or car.

As we arrived late, the host himself prepare the food to our liking and it was fantastic, e.g he prepared espcially non spicy food as some of us do not eat that spicy. Breakfast was equally good. He even arranged tuk tuks to pick us up from the train station as it was a little far.
