Mahamed and Fatima are the most wonderful hosts, and there is no doubt they enjoy having guests, and want their guests to be as comfortable as possible. They made our stay truly memorable, and I wish we had time to stay longer. I will for sure be back, this place comes highly recommended from me! Surroundings are gorgeous, hiking on every corner, it's quiet and calm, and you will eat like a queen with Fatima's food (she should have a restaurant). I haven't eaten that well in all of Sri Lanka, and it's been my most pleasant stay. If you are into nature, mental relaxation, great food, and slowing down a bit, do make sure to book at least two/three nights with them, and just enjoy!

We are extremely happy to have spent two days at the Capoe house. It was better and more beautiful than we had expected. We were picked up by the Ranger and got a little private Safari tour as he’s an expert of the local animals. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful, and we receive the warm welcome with a High Tea. Our room was spacious and had a beautiful few as well as a big and clean bathroom. As it was Valentine’s Day, they had decorated the bed with flowers and given us a complementary heart shaped cake. There was definitely good and enough food and drinks and outdoors activity, you can for example get a private trip to the near waterfall without extra costs. There was also a yoga mat available and room service at all times.

Mountain Paradise Bliss occupies the upper floors of Nilowin Glenanore guesthouse (managed by another member of the same family). It has a quiet location on the edge of a tea estate near Adisham monastery, about 3km from Haputale town. The rooms are large, modern and well-equipped, with private bathrooms. The balconies have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Tasty local meals are available. Shan and his wife Piyumi are charming young professional hosts who can arrange excursions and hikes (including Horton Plains, Lipton’s Seat, Ella, Pekoe Trail). I have stayed here 4 times and am already planning my next visit.

Great choice for Haputale. Good location, good breakfast and dinner, possibility of refilling your bottles with purified water (less plastic), great view (and possibility to sit in- or outside) and good facilities in room and bathroom. Next to that very useful help by the young man and he also arranged some things for very reasonable prices. And his mother cooked great meals! So it doesn't happen too often, but for us this was 10 out of 10! Really recommended.
