Tree Nest Sigiriya is a lovely treehouse stay with a perfect view near Lion’s Rock. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Royal Rock is a quiet, peaceful haven handy for Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa. The food is excellent, service attentive but not intrusive and the ambience is most relaxing. The rooms all have a view of a lion rock and paddy filed which is home to varieties of birdlife. There is a comfortable pool to cool off in and rooms are cozy.

Our 3 days/2 nights in Il Frangipane have been amazing! The facility is a little tropical paradise, well maintained and well designed: perfect for some relaxing days. The room is really big, clean and with modern furniture, as the bathroom. The breakfast is big, a good mix between English and srilankan breakfast. What an amazing experience staying at this hotel. It felt like they had thought of everything from live music, magicians, music in the bathrooms and such a beautiful setting in the forest/jungle. The monkeys are so fun to watch especially the ones with the black faces. Yes this hotel is on the higher price point but it’s worth it for the atmosphere and attention from the many staff. Everything can be arranged by the reception with many experiences or a tuk tuk if you need to go to Dambulla. The buffet dinner is amazing with so much to choose from and of high quality and the buffet breakfast is delicious also.

The Shakshuka breakfast was delicious, also the pasta dinner ~ as good as in Italy. Bed so comfortable, setting very peaceful. Pool was perfect for cooling down in the middle of the day and I loved watching monkeys swing through the trees while reading on a pool lounger. The owner arranged a jeep safari for me at local Eco Park ~ it was awesome to see elephants up so close!

The hotel was awesome! First we were welcomed with refreshing wipes and nice juices. They also made some kind of nice ritual with candles. Then we went to our room,which was so big,clean and comfy. Also we had a bathtub on the balcony. There was super big mango garden,where you can take walks and you can visit the nearby lake. There were several activities like big beautiful chess and ping pong. The food was a great combination of traditional and international food. It had great presentation and was delicious. The best thing in this hotel was THE STAFF. Everyone was so nice, always there to help you and assist. They were always smiling. We loved the manager,the cleaning ladies,all the girls from reception and restaurant. So nice! We reallyliked a girl named Sachini, which was mainly on the ba, she was super nice. My personal favorite one though was the NATURALIST!!! Her name was Sithumi. We definitely recomend going on the safari tour with her. She was so so so nice,always helping out and she knew so much about all animals! She saw birds for maybe 2 seconds and already knew the kind! So impressive! She was caring for all of us so much! Definitely recomend this hotel and we would love to come back❤️

The resort is brand new having only opened March 9th 2024 and all the facilities are exceptionally clean and modern. Our stay was very comfortable and the large swimming pool was perfect after a hot day of climbing the Lions rock and visiting the ancient city, both of which are very close to the resort. The staff are highly motivated and helped us with all our needs. I highly recommend this place.
