We had a lovely stay at White Villa! The owners are so gracious and hospitable and did everything for us to have a nice stay. We had dinner at the villa the 2 nights we stayed and the owner cooks amazing rice and curry 😋 The bungalows are build with lots of space between so you have a lot of privacy and private balcony facing the jungle. The surroundings are beautiful with nature and a natural pool on the property. The address is updated (+ there is signs) so when you go up the hill it will tell you that you have arrived before but keep going up even when you think you are lost, until you see a sign decorated with rocks right next to the owners little shop. A lot of value for the money + nice breakfast. Can only recommend!

Great value, big room, good location, near small town with shops. Good Wi-Fi. Nice view of forest out the balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff, took us for a ride in the tuk tuk free of charge. Went rafting and canyoning for a very reasonable price of R 7,500 each. Great experience.

Fantastic service with really kind and attentive staff. They were super helpful with organising things and you can tell they are proud of their hotel. The hotel has a great view that is nice and close to the rapids for rafting. Our room was lovely! The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom was clean. It was nice to have consistent hot water as well. The restaurant was delicious. We were served a big filling breakfast that kept us going. We also had beautiful dinner from their restaurant at really affordable prices. A wonderful stay!

Stunning location right on the river, the views from the balcony of my room were particularly amazing. The staff were extremely attentive and on hand to help with anything I needed. Traditional Sri Lankan food for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was wonderful and extremely well priced. All round a great place to stay.

We came across Wanakaset accidentally and fitted it into our already tight schedule, so we could only stay for one night, which is a shame. We would have liked to stay at least one more night to see more of the estate, especially as we had the “Apple room”, which is the big room at the front side of the building with the best view. We very much enjoyed this unusual accommodation, the fantastic views and the fireflies at night. The bed was the most comfy we had in Sri Lanka and despite our concerns we had no problems with mosquitos. Also we had our own (but not ensuite) bathroom, which we did not expect. Maybe because Wanakaset was not fully booked.
