I had an absoulutely beautiful experience staying at Mystay. Hosts were incredibly attentive to anything I needed, they were always available to provide great info about nearby spots and prices. While Mawanella in not a main tourist hotspot there are some gorgeous spots to explore if you like nature such as river with waterfalls, several hiking spots and trekking paths through the rainforest, it is an awesome location for nature lovers. Also, it's proximity to Kandy and Elefant sanctuary puts you in a great location to explore surrounding attractions. Hosts were always able to arrange local transport to wherever I needed to go and for amazing (local) price, can't thank them enough. Breakfast was wonderful, home made and super tasty. They also provided fruit and tea for my relaxing time, also plenty of bottled water all the time. Place is very spaceous and comfortable with garden around the house, there is also a lovely erected area, like a treehouse, for you to enjoy, that is surrounded with greenery, a great place to just relax and see some birds etc. All in all, a wonderful family that I'm happy to have met and I'm so thankful for all their help with information and transport. Hope I'll be able to stay there again sometines in the future.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Green Agras Leisure and would highly recommend it. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful – with breathtaking views, a stunning pool, and impressive architecture. The food was always freshly prepared and offered a wide variety of dishes. The entire service team was extremely friendly, warm, and fun. After just a few days, it felt very personal, as if we were among friends. We also joined a cooking class, which was a fantastic experience with delicious food and very kind instructors. In addition, I enjoyed a massage, which was excellent as well. All in all, this place is highly recommendable, and we would definitely love to come back!

This hotel is really great 😁 The host is very kind. When we got there we got cold towels and a welcome drink. The room is amazing! We just got our own tuktuk here so driving it was new. The hotel is on a top of a hill so the drive is a bit difficult. But the host and other people helped us.

What an amazing place! Everything was superb. From the incredible staff who anticipated my every need, to the delicious food and the variety of activities in the area. I was truly surprised by how wonderful the place was. The property is not only perfect for those who appreciate comfort, but also for those looking to explore the nearby cultural sights. The team at the house went above and beyond to make sure our stay was unforgettable! The attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our experience exceptional. We left this hotel with a great impression. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were traveling with a child and lots of luggage, and they helped us store everything and checked us in earlier than expected — which was a big help! Our room was clean, spacious, with perfect air conditioning, and a balcony overlooking the river and jungle — with so many elephants in view, it was amazing! The staff also helped us arrange a trip to the nearby elephant village, which was truly unforgettable. For families with kids, I highly recommend this place. There’s a separate pool for children, and the restaurant staff were super friendly, always happy to prepare and heat up meals for our little one. Overall, we felt very well taken care of — thank you for making our stay in Pinnawala so comfortable!

The town is just a town with shops, supermarket etc.

The town is just a town with shops, supermarket etc. For food, my tour guide Prashan brought me to Upcountry Restaurant which is a nice place with a beautiful scenery. :) Go for the attractions like Bible Rock, Saradiel Hill etc. They are nice.
