We received a very warm welcome when arriving late in the evening. The hosts arranged a family dinner so we could relax which was delicious . I got sick before my group arrived and they offered to drive me to a doctor. The homestay is immaculate. Very clean, hot showers, comfortable beds and cool AC. Thank you for your hospitality

Ferndale’s philosophy is rooted in nature and respect for the ecosystem. It is a luxury hotel where sustainability and eco-friendliness take top priority. All food is locally and organically sourced, adding to the authenticity of the experience. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who shared his vision with great passion and pride, making us appreciate the concept even more. The retreat is located in the breathtaking Knuckles Mountain Range, near Kandy. The untouched nature makes it a perfect destination for stunning hikes, which are thoughtfully organized by the team. Along the trails, you can discover hidden waterfalls and encounter unique endemic wildlife. Lastly, we must highlight the outstanding service and incredible food. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. The meals are amazing because of the freshness of the ingredients and the dedication put into every dish. Make sure to try the icecream :-)! For anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and warm, personal hospitality, we can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Everything was amazing. We stayed in the suite, it was so beautiful, huge room and terrace with amazing views! The pictures don’t do justice to this place, it is way more beautiful. Our kids stayed in a normal room, it was small but comfortable and clean. The staff is simply wonderful, always ready do help and always kind and happy. The food was really, really good.

Serenity Villa Digana was an absolutely breathtaking place. If you are looking for a calm and quiet retreat, this is the ideal destination for your vacation. It was a fabulous experience. The villa is situated in a nice, quiet location near Victoria Reservoir. The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cater to our needs at every step. The room was well-maintained, with all amenities available, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. I wish I could have extended my stay for a few more days. I will definitely come back on my next visit.

The location is simply amazing with a stunning view on a lake and mountains. Small team extremely dedicated to make your stay a pleasant one. Kudos to Thiloka for her patience and always smiling. Great breakfast and food, the best we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely a place we will remember.

What a villa. Just woow..it was full of experience here. I was not expecting a high quality service from here. The experience i had here is unbelievable. The rooms were very clean calm and quiet. Everything was perfect! 🤗 The hotel was very clean and beautiful. It is surrounded by lush greenery, and the whole building blends seamlessly into nature with its earthy colours, plants, and thoughtfully designed interior and exterior. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Two sides of the room were just windows, allowing you to wake up to the sunrise over the mountains. The breakfast was delicious, with generous portion sizes. The milk tea was a 10/10! Since it was the Sri Lankan New Year, they had also arranged a table with traditional Sri Lankan sweets, which was a lovely touch. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Upon arrival, we were given a WhatsApp number for communication. They responded quickly and clearly—very friendly and professional. The location was also great, just a 30-minute drive from Kandy, making it convenient for exploring the area. But honestly, the resort itself was so peaceful and well-designed that we felt completely relaxed without even needing to leave. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️❤️

Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles from 16/05/2025 was an unforgettable experience! It began with a guided hike organized by the team, tailored perfectly to our preferences. The hike was magnificent, with an excellent and caring guide. The packed lunch provided during the hike was both delicious and energy-packed—just what we needed. After the hike, we returned to Royal Mountain Edge, where we enjoyed a refreshing dip in the infinity pool followed by warm tea and local snacks. In the evening, they surprised us with a cozy bonfire, serving local brews as we warmed ourselves by the flames. For dinner, the BBQ platter was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The silence time began at 11:00 PM, but until then, we immersed ourselves in the serene forest surroundings and its enchanting nightlife. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat after an adventurous day. The next morning, we woke up early to watch the sunrise near the pool, accompanied by a hot cup of coffee graciously served by the staff. Breakfast was a delightful spread of local delicacies, including milk rice, lunu miris, chicken curry, and fresh fruits. It was the perfect way to end our magical stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles. Highly recommended for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!
