Roshan, his family, and his staff provided an exceptional experience. They helped arrange transportation both to and from their resort. The food was exceptional and exceeded all expectations and included fresh salad with dinner as well as a protein option and local cuisine that was home cooked. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The safari experience was great, and our driver made sure we saw as many animals as possible. We traveled with a little kid and we also appreciated that our daughter had his daughter to play with.

had a great time here. The hosts were kind and demonstrated true Sri Lankan hospitality. It’s peaceful and has lots of interesting things to see around it. loads of birds and some very loud croaking frogs. A very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

We stayed here for our Safari in Wilpattu National Park and had a very good experience. We were looking for a hotel close to the park with air conditioning, a pool, and dinner service – all of these expectations were fully met. The hotel looks modern and very clean, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. A special detail was that we received our breakfast at 5:30 a.m. for the safari, which was very thoughtful. My 7-year-old son is a picky eater and did not like the dinner at first – not because of the kitchen, but simply his taste. The staff were very attentive and helped us find something special for him, which we really appreciated. The view of the lake from our room was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tribe Wilpattu. The lodge is really peaceful, very close from Wilpattu Park, and our host was absolutely charming and kind.

Stay was excellent and the staff was very nice from the start of my visit, the room / location was exceptional as its was so close to the Wilpattu national park. During meals we had many options to choose from and the meals were prepared with good quality ingredients as i felt the freshness and difference in the dishes. There was also ample parking available which was great.!!! :) Free Wifi :) :) :)

Roshan, his family and their staff were delightful hosts. Very helpful and organised our Safari at Wilpattu National Park which is only a few minutes drive away and our transfer back to Negombo the next day. We had a beautiful, lunch, dinner and breakfast prepared for us which was some of the best food we ate during our entire trip. The room was clean, attractive and comfortable.
