Roshan and his family and friends are warm and welcoming, going the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and worthwhile. There were personal touches everywhere from the greeting from Roshan before our arrival to his personally greeting us as we arrived. All the food is home cooked and traditional. They use local organic products for meals and serve everything with care. had a great time here. The hosts were kind and demonstrated true Sri Lankan hospitality. It’s peaceful and has lots of interesting things to see around it. loads of birds and some very loud croaking frogs. A very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Loved the delicious evening buffet. What a treat to try so many different dishes all prepared by the family. We were travelling with a disabled gentleman in a wheelchair the staff were wonderful accommodating all our needs.

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

This place was such a lovely surprise. We booked here last minute after a problem with our other accommodation. We were so well looked after, it felt like we were in our own private villa. Ajit was particularly amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The room itself was really cool. Very comfortable and clean with an amazing outside bathroom with a view of the trees. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge. Both meals were excellent. They were huge - so much food! Everything was so tasty. The location is great. Right by the entrance to the park and in the middle of some fields. It was a very tranquil setting. The lodge also arranged our safari into Wilpattu and a driver to our next destination. This hotel is highly recommended.

The property is ideally located just a few minutes away from the Wilpattu Park.. The amount of ground this property covers gives you ample space for kids to enjoy themselves as well. The staff were a great and made us feel at home. The rooms were kept clean and comfortable. Thank you to the Kay Jay Wild and the staff there for making our stay a special one. We will be back!
