The communication from the owner was unmatched; checking to see how I was during the snow storm and if all was well. The guesthouse is phenomenal: comfortable, big rooms, posh design and a well stocked kitchen. Great coffee maker and breakfast layout! Jaunpils pils is a small and truly beautiful medieval castle. It has a small museum and an amazing restaurant. Staying in the castle is a very special experience, I stayed in the Medieval room with a nice bath and a very beautiful fireplace. The food was delicious and I loved the beer from the local brewery. When you stay in the castle, the visit to the museum is free, and we also visited the mill.

Amazing place to stay. We were staying in winter when everything around was in snow - beautiful and calm.

The location was perfect, next to the road which was not too noisy. We had two rooms which were joined by a small entrance way which had a fridge and a microwave in it. Both rooms had en-suite shower rooms.
