Beautiful place, lots to do. Definitely recommend hiring a private boat like we did for 6 hrs that took us to historical places. Loved the walk to Sv.Jovan church. Everything was amazing. Ohrid is a beautiful old city with many churches and sites to visit. Many unique jewelry shops and excellent restaurants. Ohrid lake is amazing with clean and transparent water up to 10 m in depth. Many possibilities to take boats, make excursions, go to other places at the lake and beaches. In summer there is Ohrid Summer Festival with theater performances and concerts performed outdoors and in ancient churches. It is a lovely old town with many old churches and the lake which is one of the oldest natural lakes in Europe. There are a lot of hotels and villas you can stay in which are reasonably priced. It was the most touristy place we had been in for a while - but we enjoyed that! We did the small boat day trip and enjoyed 6 hours visiting the sites around the lake and some time swimming in the lake by the monastery. We also hiked to the top of Magaro Peak- quite a challenge but rewarding with spectacular views at the top. 2 hours up, 2 hours down. Recommend.Guest review byGailSpain

We had a very large room with a jacuzzi and a fantastic view over the lake. The bed was large and very comfortable. Not to forget the pools and the great breakfast, where nothing was missing, there is no lunch or dinner, but restaurants are within walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
