We decided last minute to travel to Gozo. It was the last room available in Gozo so we booked it. When we arrived, the staff was so friendly and when shown our room had a great surprise. We had a jacuzzi and sauna in our room. They showed us how to use the facilities, and after the long day of travel were greatly enjoyed. The room size was great. Everything was clean. The sites we wanted to visit were a short drive away. What made the stay special besides the room was truly the staff. They were extremely helpful in answering our questions of places to visit and even gave us a later check out as we had arrived late and for us to be able to spend the morning not worrying about having to check out but to enjoy the sites.

Townhouse 17 Boutique offers exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and extremely courteous and professional, always helpful staff. Hotel manager Daniela welcomed us with a smile, and the entire check-in process, despite us arriving 2.5 hours before the standard check-in time, went smoothly and without any problems. The spacious, perfectly clean room featured a very comfortable large bed, modern amenities, fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a small balcony with a wonderful view of the Citadella and a tiny rooftop pool. Very delicious breakfasts, served à la carte in the small Chapeau Bistro restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. You can also have dinner there – a rich selection of dishes, fresh products, and local specialties. The entire restaurant staff demonstrates the highest level of professionalism. The bus station, from which buses depart to the island’s main attractions, is located directly opposite the hotel. Similarly, there’s the possibility of parking a rental car, with a large parking area about 100 meters from the hotel. I would especially like to thank the aforementioned hotel manager - Daniela and the lady from Chapeau Bistro staff who wore glasses (sorry, but I didn’t catch her name), who ensured that our stay was perfect. Thanks to such people, you return to the hotel with a smile on your face.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

We stayed during the feast at end July, but we knew what to...

We stayed during the feast at end July, but we knew what to expect, fireworks/patards and church bells from 8am, church bands in evening and events happening all week. Otherwise at other times, Sannat is a lovely quiet village with band club, football club, small supermarket and bar close to property. Bus stop with hourly bus service into Rabat/Victoria, where you can get other busses to other areas. Or use Bolt (similar to Uber) app to call for taxi as island is not big easy to get around.

Beautiful surroundings of the countryside, country and sea...

Beautiful surroundings of the countryside, country and sea views. We spend our time at the Hotel for a weekend break this time but at other times we went swimming at other locations around Sannat such as at Mgarr ix-Xini and Il-Kantra.

We did often eat out in Victoria but there were a couple of places in Sannat although one of them did not have any vegetarian options. We liked the Lion Bar which was basic in decor and style but did delicious food. It was a bit noisy as the screens show current sports competitions. We were in easy walking distance from Ta 'Cenc cliffs which had the most beautiful views over the channel between Malta and Gozo. We found it relatively easy to get around Sannat as it is not big although Maltese pavements are generally an obstacle course. We would definitely recommend getting a bus pass for a week or for 12 journeys.

We were fortunate to visit on festival week which consisted of fireworks and parades over four days and nights. We had plenty of midnight walks which felt really safe. We visited Lions sports bar for various meals and takeaways. Bolt taxis are great for travelling round the island.

Sannat itself is quite remote so very quiet.

Sannat itself is quite remote so very quiet. There is a bus which goes once an hour but taxis are quite cheap. There is one bar and one restaurant in Sannat. Also a band club and football club who sell reasonably priced drinks and food. So Sannat is best for those who like a quite break!

If one is after a quiet location with the availability of...

If one is after a quiet location with the availability of essential services then this is the place to go to. Perfect property for a weekend break with a small family. The fact that the property is in an alley off the "main road" takes a bit getting used to but it was immensely easy to find parking close by.

The swimming pool was really good: bigger than we were expecting and at 1.8m much deeper than most holiday pools. The children really enjoyed it and there were a lot of floats/toys etc. Also a very nicely decorated farmhouse with some interesting creative touches. Sylvana and family were great with communication both about the stay, taxi from the airport and hire car. The location is very close to the Ta Cenci cliffs in Sannat, a pretty relaxed village and great location for a family holiday.

Quaint Butique Hotel was a very nice place the room was very comfortable and clean ! The Staff of the hotel was lovely and always with a smile on their face ! The location is the only downside witch is not that bad because to get to all the facilities parties , restaurants or even cafes you need to take bus and for many of the a boat if they are In Malta but if I had to do it again I would prefer to stay in that hotel than to be closer to all those things !

Our second time in Gozo and so glad we chose Villa Serenity: Monica and Stefano were brilliant hosts, the Villa and pool were beautiful and Ta Sannat is one of the prettiest villages in Gozo. Breakfasts are fab and a selection for everyone. We travelled with our two daughter who loved it, too.

The staff is super friendly. The hotel was located conveniently enough to get around the island. The swimming pool is big enough and can be used anytime, even at night. You feel here super private, welcome and at ease.
