Amazing place! Definitely the best hotel in Port Louis. We were taken care very well and we got help anytime we needed it. Particularly helpful was the son of the owner. He would ask as whether we were fine or needed something. After we decided to extend our stay, we received chocolate as a present for being loyal guests. We had an fantastic time and we also found the restaurant splendid. We both agreed that we ate the best pizza margarita ever! Strongly recommended.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at the enchanting Hotel Le Suffren in Mauritius, and I must say, it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, my daughter and I were transported to a world of pure elegance and grace. One of the true highlights of our stay was the culinary journey we embarked upon at the hotel's restaurant, where we had the privilege of being dazzled by the extraordinary sushi chef, Ritchy. His artistry with sushi was a revelation, and the flavors danced on our taste buds like a symphony. In fact, it's safe to say that this dining experience was the pinnacle of our culinary adventures in Mauritius. During our stay, a minor maintenance issue cropped up in our room. However, I was absolutely astounded by the swift and professional manner in which the duty manager addressed the situation. Not only did they resolve the issue with precision and care, but they also surprised us with a gracious refund for one night's stay. This unexpected gesture of goodwill touched our hearts deeply. Hotel Le Suffren is not just a place to stay; it's a haven of exceptional hospitality and grace. The staff's dedication to ensuring their guests' happiness is nothing short of extraordinary. The host was excellent. The apartment at Port Louis was fine with everything we needed. We couldn't get the TV to work but didn't bother the host about this small matter. If we go again, we will definitely stay further south near the beaches.

It took my two days to explore Port Louis.

It took my two days to explore Port Louis. I enjoyed very much the look from the top of the mountain in Port Louis and the waterfront even though the prices at the waterfront are high. We spend 9 days in Mauritius and enjoyed our day trips to different parts of the country.

We hired a taxi to take us up to the Citadel and around the...

We hired a taxi to take us up to the Citadel and around the city. It has some interesting colonial buildings. We arrived at Port Louis at the end of our cruise - the apartment was not far from the port. We used the same taxi driver to take us up the Northern Beaches (well worth visiting) and he also drove us to the airport for our flight to Dubai.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Champs De Mars Apartment during my recent short visit to Mauritius, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the charming and cozy atmosphere that this apartment offers. First and foremost, the location is fantastic. Situated right next to the iconic Champs De Mars Racecourse, the apartment offers stunning views and a unique atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else on the island. It's also conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore all that Mauritius has to offer. Moreover, the apartment's security was excellent. The apartment itself is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The interior design is tasteful and modern, providing a welcoming and homely ambiance. The spacious living area is perfect for relaxation and entertaining, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare your own meals if you wish. One of the highlights of the Champs De Mars Apartment is the balcony, which overlooks the racecourse. The breathtaking views of the races and the lush greenery are truly a unique experience that adds a special touch to your stay. The host, Adam is incredibly accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with any questions or requests you may have. Their warm welcome and local insights enhanced my stay in Port Louis , making it even more memorable.

Traffic in Port Louis is very busy so allow extra time if you need to travel anywhere. You will need consider this when ordering a taxi. There was nothing open near the villa to walk to besides the beach/boat dock area. This was cleaned everyday by the local authority and included toilets.

Plenty to do and visit. Street food is safe to eat. So give your tastebuds a treat whether sweet or savoury just be aware of 🌶️. Use local buses around the island it’s bone-rattling fun. Generally people are very helpful.

We stayed in one bedroom apartment of the hotel. Very nice and comfortable. Downstairs was a small kitchen, living room, extra toilet and working office area. My husband was working and the office space was excellent. Also a small veranta, full of trees - very nice. Upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom. Very good. Nice decorated place and very comfortable. Also there is a boat transfer from the hotel to the opposite site of the marina. Very convienient. Good gym.
