Hotel Esmeralda is a little gem tucked away in Atlixco. We stayed for a family wedding but would happily have stayed for longer. There was a lovely clean, heated pool with relaxed seating and a very pleasant outdoor area for dinner and breakfast. The best place to eat in Atlixco the flavors of the land is at @lucia_1950_cocinadepueblo del @manuel_rosas90. Not to be missed. On Sundays there is a flower market in the main square and on Saturdays you must go to the market to see the colors and splendor of regional agriculture. Tochimilco is 10 min away, the best place to see the Popocatépetl and to eat at its market on Sunday.Guest review byMarzMexico

Everything was clean and well thought out. It felt like someone well planned the room and property. Everything in the room (outlets, light switches, towels, etc) was easy to find. Everyone on staff was super nice. And the location was great, right on the main square. We stayed here for Dia de Muertos and we were able to see both parades from the balcony of our room.
