    Check out the two light shows at the downtown church and the ex-convent. Both, unfortunately start at 9pm so you might have to catch them at two different times. For more affordable food options, don't bother eating at the Calzada de los Frailes restaurants. Most places are overpriced!

    Valladolid is a lovely little Pueblo Magico with lots of charm. It is clean and easy to navigate by car or on foot, there are a lot of cenotes nearby(one right in the Centro) as well as the archiologico site Ek'Balam or Chichén Itzá close by. There were lots of places to eat yummy food, buy gifts and dive into the Yucatecán culture. It was a quick 2 hour drive from Merida and we will be back for another weekend trip to enjoy the lovely people and vibe here.

    The fact that the hotel was right in front of the main town...

    The fact that the hotel was right in front of the main town square was key. All day Sunday there is a wonderful outdoor market in the square. The hotel's restaurant has excellent food and drinks. There's a rooftop bar/restaurant with very good food called Don Diablo above the hotel: make a reservation. The octopus was one of the best I've ever had. Get out early if you want to walk around town since it's so hot. IX CAT IK Mayan Cuisine Restaurant in Valladolid is excellent. Don't miss it!

    A very nice small city, that is well located to use as a base to see several old Mayan cities. It also has a good number of interesting sites in town. It is easy to walk around and explore on your own.

    Tiny but really cute city.

    Tiny but really cute city. Nice cenote literally in the middle of the city, that's nice. Every day projection at 9pm on the couvent about Valladolid history for free that's really enjoyable. Large choice of restaurant Really easy to get by the city just walking and wondering around

    It´s great to visit.

    It´s great to visit. Easy to walk around the town, perfect to visit Chichen Itza and several Cenotes. My favorite thing was that I could reach a few Cenotes easily by bike! No need for taxis, at least for the closest ones.

    Very cute boutique hotel in one of the prettiest streets in Valladolid. The staff were super friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious and have hammocks which we loved. The boutique and the coffee shop that are part of the hotel are great too (good coffee and purchased a few lovely dresses). Shame we only stayed for one night, would recommend as very reasonably priced too.
